Lupul-Crosby-Kessel
Neal-Malkin-Dupuis
Kunitz-Grabovski-JVR
Sutter-McClement-Kulemin

Orpik-Letang
Gunnarsson-Phaneuf
Gardiner-Morrow

Vokoun
Fleury

Trade from their ridiculous pool of defensive prospects for Luongo and you have a perfect team.

The Torontreal Canadien Leafs.

Lupul-Plekanec-Kessel
Pacoretty-Desharnais-Cole
JVR-Grabovski-Gionta
Moen-Eller-McClement
Brown/Prust

Phaneuf-Subban
Gunnarsson-Gorges
Gardiner-Markov
Liles

Price
Reimer

I think Burke would love it, 2 sets of American wingers and Kessel!

Wow, that defense would be amazing. Gunnarsson-Gorges would frustrate the hell out of the opposition's top lines, leaving Phaneuf-Subban (still a great defensive pairing) and Gardiner-Markov to wreak havoc on lesser competition.

Stajan instead of Smyth is an absolute NECESSITY. Your lineup has no defensive center, and no capable faceoff man. Largely because between the two teams, Stajan is the only player who fills both roles. I would also make the argument that Hudler belongs in there somewhere. You also forgot to include Wideman on defense.

Put 2009-10 Flyers and Kings together, on ice and front office, and you have the 2012 SC Kings! ...plus Darryl Sutter.

Seguin - Toews - Kane
Lucic - Sharp - Hossa
Marchand - Bergeron - Horton
Stalberg - Krejci - Peverley

Chara - Sedeinberg
Kieth - Seabrook
Ference - Oduya

Thomas
Rask

Chicagos top end talent with Bostons depth. Versatile team that can do it all, best all around team in my opinion.

Why no Bolland? You have Horton, Stalberg, and Peverly but not Bolland??

Also... Oduya over Hjalmarsson?

I'll play...

Wings and Kings.

Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Carter
Williams-Kopitar-Brown
Filppula-Richards-Franzen
Helm-Stoll-Tootoo

Scuderi-Doughty
Kronwall-Greene
Mitchell-Smith

Quick
Howard

spares: Voynov, Ericsson, Samuelsson or Cleary

I wanted to keep LA's top line together but also to mix up the remaining forwards some, hence breaking up Richards and Carter. The other option, of playing Franzen with Z and Dats, is ok too even though I don't think Franzen has the greatest chemistry with Datsyuk. On the fourth line I've switched Helm to wing as I think Stoll is the better FO man; Tootoo could easily be switched with Samuelsson or Cleary if needs be but I figured why not get a pest in there.

On D I kept the Scuderi-Doughty pairing intact but switched around some other guys. There's an argument to be made for replacing Smith with Voynov, but I'm a Wings fan so Brendan gets the nod. The 2nd and 3rd pairings should see roughly equal ice time and each unit pairs a solid LA shutdown guy with one of Detroit's active PMDs.

Didn't put too much thought into the spare players, you could easily argue guys like Quincey or White or Nyquist should make the cut from Detroit... I'm not so knowledgeable about LA's depth guys though so apologies if I missed anyone.

Purcell // Stamkos // St. Louis
McDonald // Lecavalier // Tarasenko
Malone // Backes // Oshie
Perron // Berglund // Stewart

Hedman // Pietrangelo
Jackman // Shattenkirk
Brewer // Carle

Halak
Lindback (I would assume Eliot would probably get the nod over Lindback, but I wanted a goalie from each team...)

Highlights:
- Hedman / Pietrangelo pairing
- Tarasenko on Lecavalier's wing
- That 3rd line
- Blues fans finally get to cheer for their favorite player, Eric Brewer, again

Seriously though, that's a good team.

Blues defense mixed with the Bolts offense....with Halak in Net....dear god we would wreck some teams.

Sharks/Islanders

Marleau-Thornton-Pavelski
Moulson-Tavares-Okposo
Grabner-Couture-Havlat
Bailey-Nielsen-Clowe

Boyle-Hamonic
Burns-Vlasic
Streit-Visnovsky

Nabokov
Niemi

Hard decision on where to place the forwards. I feel all the names are right, but actual place might be wrong.
Defense is beastly, especially if Visnovsky returns to form.
Nabokov is back. Goaltending might be the weakest thing about the team depending on how you view the duo.

I like it, but Foligno plays for Columbus now. Replace him with Smith or Neil.

you did that just to put selanne on the 2nd line right wing
