Russian-American is a great mix, he seems to have the best of both stereotypes in him. A smooth dangler that plays a north-south game and chips in defensively.

He's only missing some pure Canadian blood.

Hell pure Russian blood is an oxymoron. That said, he's spent the past few seasons playing in Canada, albeit in view of the United States.

Here are the top 10 scorers of the OHL and the percentage of their teams goals that they're been directly implicated in (subtracted games missed)

Ryan Strome: 52.6%
Seth Griffith: 42.4%
Alex Galchenyuk: 48%
Brett Ritchie: 42%
Boone Jenner: 46%
Vincent Trocheck: 42%
Mark Scheifele: 40.3%
Daniel Catenacci: 42.2%
Charles Sarault: 40.4%
Max Domi: 34.7% (draft eligible 2013)

Connor McDavid: 41.4% (draft eligible 2015)

As we can see by these stats, there's a pretty clear top 3. Strome has just been on fire the last month or so. Galchenyuk has steadily been getting better and is the only 18 year old over 45%. Jenner is a pleasant surprise for me. Even before calculating these numbers, I was a big fan, but he's got a lot of offensive potential as well. A real complete player who is vital to his teams success. Obviously these numbers don't tell the whole story, but they're interesting anyways.

Connor McDavid is already involved in over 41% of his teams offence..how good will he be in 2015 when he'll draft eligible...scary.

Gally and the Sting go into Saginaw for a road game at 7:11. Last time they played Saginaw (last week i think), Gally had a 3 point game. Hopefully his streak continues.

Thanks for reminding me, the last few weeks Sarnia's first games came on Fridays so I just assumed it was tomorrow.

The game tomorrow (Friday) is vs Windsor and on Sunday they play the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds

After 2 periods in Saginaw, Gally has 1 PPG

I knew Galchenyuk was very hyped but i never tought he would be so deadly so quick... i cant even imagine the habs with a superstar again... bell center will go nuts with Galchy tearing it up... i heard the hossa comparaison but lately ive heard other names from non habs fans saying players like toews, kopitar, mini malkin, rnh... thats huge names right there... cant wait.

If the season would start i have a string feeling he would make the team..

Strome had 3 points last night... seems that Galchenyuk will be hard pressed to catch him in the scoring race (especially now with the world juniors/ (hopefully?) NHL training camps rolling around...

then I realize Galchenyuk is one year younger, and missed all of last season...

hes a player thats for sure

in 4 years from now,
Habs will have some serious fire power

Pacioretty - Galchenyuk - Collberg

Hudon - Eller - Gallagher

Bozon - Desharnais - Leblanc

Geoffrion - Bournival - White

Gorges - Subban

Tinordi - Beaulieu

Ellis - Emelin

Price

In an ideal world, that would be nice...some of those players won't pan out. In fact, 4 players out of your top 9 were just drafted 6 months ago..and your 4th line left winger had an extremely serious injury about a month ago and does not know when he'll start playing again. There will be more surprises along the way.

I don't want to poor rain on your parade but I highly doubt that half of the players that you listed will play in the NHL in 4 years nevermind all of them on the habs. The hamilton players have been mediocre this year and the montreal market/fanbase are very hard on young hockey players...
