Agree. This coaching staff gets the benefit of the doubt when it comes to developing players.

I don't know. They made a point to say that they would have picked Wilson even if Martin was there. No reason to say that if it wasn't the case.

I absolutely despise Doug Martin. My completely irrational opinion on this stems from the fact that one of my fantasy opponents just so happened to play him and he decided that this particularly day was perfect to put up the single greatest performance in the history of our league.

I was mad.

i agree with others have said. this coaching staff doesn't usually give rookies much of a chance. i hope wilson gets more carries this season but i wouldn't be surprised if hes not a big part of our game plan until next season.

I like Wilson as a return man though. His use as a RB may not yet up to par but his ability to run back kicks is rather nice. Maybe he could even put one in for a score sometime. The last time the Giants returned a ****ing kick was against the Patriots in the last game of the 07 season.

That 55 point day was AWESOME.

As for Wilson, relax people. He's a rook. He'll get his time. Right now he's not an up the middle runner which Gilbride was calling plays for when he was getting reps against the 'Skins. Wilson needs to be utilized on sweeps and pitch plays. Thing is, it could be like the Tebow effect when the opposing team knows "oh, if Wilson is in then this is obviously a pitch or screenr or sweep." His pass-blocking is sub-par, we know this. Gotta give the kid time. I'll be more patient with him than I am with Prince, that's for sure. ****ing Amukamara.

Also, fun fact about Wilson, the kid is 197 yards away from setting a single-season Giants record for kick return yards And he leads the league in KR yards. I think he's been pretty great back there. You know what you're going to get most returns, it's basically automatic that if he takes it out of the endzone he's picking up 25.

Well it's about damn time.

Quote:
It will be finished.

Not only will head coach Norv Turner be gone at the end of the season, but general manager A.J. Smith will be fired as well, as the Chargers make a monumental break from an era that was arguably the most successful and most disappointing in team history.

Sources said this week that Chargers President Dean Spanos essentially decided at least a month ago that Turner’s time was drawing to a rapid close. Spanos, sources said, has more recently resigned himself to the fact that Smith can’t be kept in the current environment of plummeting performance and fan unrest.

What do you Jets fans think of Hilliard? Graduated high school with him.

Really, now? I graduated from the same High School as B.J. Raji and live in the same town as him. I know his youngest brother relatively well.

He's looked pretty good at points. Think he dropped an easy ball earlier in the season though, but I'm not expecting a FB to have great hands

That's cool. I totally wasn't using it as a thinly veiled brag. Don't follow football much but kind of watch where he goes because it's kinda cool. I remember BS'ing with him about car stereos in 10th grade world history. He was always a pretty laid back guy. If he was a ****** I wouldn't care where he's at haha.

From what I gather he's a pretty solid blocker and that's kind if the role he's taken in the pros?

No, no, no. I never said you were.

I was just sharing a similar little anecdote. I remember his brother talking so much **** during last years playoff run. Cooking class after the Packers/Giants game was one hell of a day.

Seems like it for sure, can't recall him missing any blocks really.

Wait. Another question -- why the **** is McElroy inactive . . . ? Is this just a ******** move by Rex so he doesn't have to play him?

What a joke.

I don't know why but I think the Ravens would play better with Alex Smith.

Just wonderful . Taking the rest of the Giant's schedule into account on top of the 'Skins and Cowgirls games, this game becomes a must win.

David Wilson could fly. Good job benching him Coughlin. Our offense doesn't need that.
