The Baby Pens have signed Bobby Farnham to an AHL contract for the rest of the season. It's his first real AHL contract after tryouts with Providence, Worcester, Hamilton and WBS.
Not exactly a surprise, but Veilleux is going to sit out the two weeks due to his knee. Think his time with the franchise is over at the end of the year.
Kuhn also out for "a while" with an upper-body injury, no doubt a shoulder problem. That sucks since he was starting to play well and now looks to miss significant time with an injury for the 2nd straight season. Shoulder injuries also tend to linger and be re-occurring.

This was a make-or-break year for a guy who's played 75 regular season AHL games the last 3 years, and he's only played 8 pro games out of around 20 this season. These are crucial development years, and Veilleux is missing all of them.

Someone trying to get a Sabourin chant going but it sounds more like "Saaahbrraaaaaaaahhh"
During warm ups they were chanting Holtby. They all seemed disappointed when Sabourin got the start because he's a little harder to chant. It definitely evolved throughout the game.
Looks like Despres also sustained some sort of injury.
