Too bad the Sabres-Amerks had to cancel the Time Warner Cable Sports Channel broadcast of the game - I was looking forward to watching it. We here in Buffalo got screwed there as they now will be showing the game here in Buffalo on Dec 28 instead - one most of us will/should be attending. Boo! Why not show tonights game and use it to promote the game on Dec 28 with commercials etc. Heck, have those commercials promote a few ticket deals with one of those being a one night only deal where if you call tonight you can get - for example - a buy two, get one ticket free deal on the $25 seats?

Oh well, good luck to the Amerks tonight, hope they end this losing streak - I'll be listening to the game online. My hockey viewing tonight will be the Michigan State-Notre Dame game on the NBC Sports Network followed by the replay of the Niagara-London OHL game on the NHL Network. Go Amerks! Go Notre Dame! Go Niagara!

Note: The Niagara-London OHL game can be seen LIVE in the United States on the NHL Network and Sportsnet in Canada starting at 7:00 pm ET.

Knapp starting tonight. I hope the defense is ready to clear out rebounds. They need to have a practice like the Mighty Ducks in the 3rd one, clearing out the trash in front.

Leggio hasn't been good either, so I guess it doesn't matter.

Knapp looked shaky to start, but he made a couple dandy saves later in the period.

Net off, Foligno scores on a nifty rush. Ref indicates goal, now they're talking about it.

No goal they say

Major disturbance shift for Phantoms as two of them run Mancari face-first into the glass, and the line spend the rest of the shift continuing the hunt.

Rinaldo is back from his injury and Knapp stops him on a partial break.

Mancari's next shift, he finds Akeson along the wall in front of the Phantom bench and smashes him to the ice. One of the Phantoms comes over and takes exception, PP Amerks which Porter converts from Mancari and Adam.

2-1 Rochester

23 Holmstrom is running everyone from behind all over the ice, with or without the puck, if he can read the name on your jersey he's running ya.

Porter shorty, 3-1. Serves ya right running yourselves out of position on the PP.

Edit: Yow, Varone nearly with a 3-on-5 shorty.

Eek. Amerks 2 short now as Roy's sent to the box for putting his hand on the puck in the faceoff circle.

2-man advantage killed, back to even strength, now 2 minutes for checking on Finley. That one was a product of being a whole lot bigger than the other guy.

Edit: Roy ruins someone at the Amerks blue line with an open-ice special.

And yet another PK coming up. JGL in the box for high sticking.
Nice hit by Roy a minute ago. Kid might not be big, but he sure tries to play like it.

What do you guys think about them sitting Schofield and Tarnasky? Seems out of the blue to me, unless they want Sundher to get some time in.

Both are injured:

Kevin Oklobzija ‏@kevinoDandC

Not sure of specifics regarding injuries to #Amerks forwards (and linemates) Nick Tarnasky and Rick Schofield.
