Sweatt seems to have forgotten that there's a game going on.

Just a matter of how long Climie can hold them in. Grand Rapids is clearly better. Line of Andersson - Tatar - Nyquist plays at an NHL level and totally controls the play. Detroit has such a great organization. Just don't have players that can't skate and play. Smith is going to be a very good player

Speed and organization of Grand Rapids really exposes some player. Player like Friesen just can't handle it.

Schroeder doing very little and barely coping at times. Line mates Sweatt and Rodin doing little to help. Effort right now for this group to get the puck out of thier zone or just tip it into the other Grand Rapids zone.

Kassian making too many blind passes. Play slows down too much when the puck gets on his stick.

Thought Archibald again looked dangerous and his line was ok.

Thought Joslin had another strong period and seems most able, with Tanev, to handle the pressure.

Connauton looks weak and is apparently still trying to overcome stomach flu.

Tatar and Nyquist were both amazing picks by Detroit.

Terrible play by Connauton. Where is his head at.

And to think Tatar was drafted 7 spots after we got Rodin...

I really wanted Tatar after the WJC. He had so much competitiveness. Even in games where his team had no chance he wouldn't quit. I was a little worried about his size though.

That was the general sentiment on draft day too IIRC.

A lot of 2007 draftees on the Griffins too, whereas we totally tanked that draft... *sigh* But as big of a difference between the players is, the difference in coaching quality is also noticeable — perhaps even more so, IMO.

Breakouts are just pathetic in this game (not that they haven't been all year). Half the time the receiver is either standing or the other half it's weakly chipped off of the glass. No creativity to them either, always trying to push through the same exact one, time after time.

I remember reading somewhere that Detroit was eyeing Rodin, but since we drafted him instead, they settled for Tatar.

Noel's fault for even playing Suave. He has Polasek in the ECHL who was more reliable last year and has more potential.

Did i just pick a bad game to watch, or have the wolves been playing this bad for awhile?

Could be Gillis' decision to keep Sauve's value from dropping. He should have been traded last year when they had the chance to get something of substance for him.

Only game they have been decent in was the game where they benched a bunch of players.

They have lost 9 of their last 13; about to be 10 of their last 14...

They were also playing one of the worst teams in the AHL. Not convinced it was Wolves playing better.

Do people not remember the WJC tatar dominated?.

His nickname on hf boards was TATARSAUCE, it was the same year as that goalie who stood on his head against usa.

I was screaming to pick tatar back in the day, wish we got him.

VAN scouting at its finest.

Anything DET related is just a reminder how far this organization is from mimicking them as far as drafting and development goes. It ends up being an eye-opener every time. Quite maddening.

Curious when Noel will get around to fixing that PK. It seems to only get worse as the season progresses.

I remember that, I actually remember being satisfied for passing on Tatar, because Detroit wanted Rodin... haha. you think they would swap now?
