Didn't Rogers and Bell buy most of MLSE's share?

He was going to the basket more often, was a good shot blocker, could run the floor, crashed the boards hard and he always had the jump hook down low, and did have a few other low post moves he developed over his stay @ tex.

Sure LaMarcus played a similar game to Bosh but Bosh was an all-star was the franchise player and LaMarcus was the top big man prospect in the country in 06. It should have been an easy decision if Toronto was going to select a big man to go with LaMarcus with the 1st pick.

Bosh even lobbied for the Raps to select LaMarcus Aldridge, and similar players can co-exist and adapt to changing up their styles. There is nothing wrong imo with having two mobile big men that can run the floor and drain the jump shot or drive the lane. Both were/are good re bounders. I personally believe that if Toronto selected Aldridge, that Chris Bosh would still be a Toronto Raptor. And I personally don't see a problem with a front court of Bosh @ C and Aldridge @PF.
Bosh didn't want to play center. He whined and *****ed and moaned about playing center and forced the team to stick Bargnani there (where his poor defence is even more exposed than it is at PF) instead of him. He only decided that he was ok with playing C while he was with the Heat last season.

Well unless he was thinking that LaMarcus was going to play C, I remember him saying how he thought they would make a dynamic front court. And considering Bosh was already playing C at the time, kinda put 1 and 1 together.

Rogers and Bell bought the Ont Teacher Pension Plan share of MLSE.. The corporate entity "MLSE" still exists, it's just owned by someone else now.

Casey has finally decided to start a certain tall European on the bench!!!

Only problem is it's Valanciunas:

http://www.torontosun.com/2012/12/06...g-to-the-bench

I've been happy with Johnson's recent play so I'm not too upset by this (as long as Val still gets good minutes), but why not Bargs as well?

Agreed. Larry Tanenbaum is a joke. I don't get why it's so hard to get the right personnel. It poor business decisions.

On that note: TFC finally hired a legitimate manager, so we'll see what happens.

I don't understand why Bargnani is playing.

He can't push off his left leg, and he looks so defeated. I'm positive there is a grudge over the management of his calf in the past year.

He can't drive right now at all, can't fight for position, gets no lift on his jumpers.

He's *** hurt. Shut him down a while, so he can get some *** squats in, or something.

Pushing through an injury this debilitating is counterproductive. He's not half of himself athletically right now.

Look a Polamalu talking today about how handling a calf injury wrong (pushing through) cost him 7 games this season.

Bargs should have been in TO this past offseason re-habing. "adding bulk, mamas cooking" gtfo.

Should be Bargs on the bench and Davis starting in his stead.

Casey decided to keep Val in starting lineup:

No changes to Raps starting five tonight. Casey said they thought about and still are but timing was wrong.

That's good news. We aren't going for the playoffs at all anymore, so Val should be getting as many minutes as possible.

as well as ED and Ross. No team with a record like ours should bench their lottery picks.

saw on OTR that there's some groundswell somewhere to ban the hack-a-shaq/hack-a-howard strategy because it's exploitative to poor free throw shooters like Dwight.

Next up: Every non-italian in the league must rebound with their hands no higher than their shoulders because regular form is exploitative to poor rebounders like Bargnani.

i agree with the rest that we need to start bargs off the bench but if we want to never see him again in a raps uniform we need to keep starting him and build some value. with where he is at right now no team is going to willingly take bargs for 2 more years at 10M per unless it was a salary dump trade.

could be worse, we could of signed michael beasley to play the 3 spot before the season.

Jack's right. I hate when refs wait to see if the basket counts before calling the foul. Blow the whistle right away, dammit.

Man Lowry cant stay healthy.
Good player but this was my biggest worry about him especially seeing he was going to be asked to do soo much.
