Going to my first game of the season tonight. How does the teddy-bear toss work? Do I buy one at the game or do we bring our own? I've never been at a game before where the bears get tossed.
They had a ticket/bear combo deal for $20. I don't know if they are selling the bears separately.
To be safe I am bringing my own. If you need to pick one up quick, Scotiabank has a nice promotion at the moment where they sell bears on behalf of the Children's Miracle Network.

Where do the bears go? I know that ambulances carry bears for frightened children, for example. Are the bears used for that, or do they go to some other purpose?

Oil Kings have come out flying, but Calgary makes it 2-1 on a snipe by Sylvester.
OK goals were from Lazar (PP) and Kuldas (who got the teddy bear goal). Moroz had a great chance in front on the 2nd PP unit with a sweet pass from St Croix but he was tied up by Humphries.
EDIT: By the way, this game is on Shaw. So if you're like me and can't go out because you have a final on Saturday, yet you're too lazy to actually study, there is hockey on TV.
Moroz: Looks good so far this game, going for the hit all the time and making plays out there.
Musil: Looks so steady and tough out there, just a great safe player.
Lazar: I was critical of him only having seen him play once this season and I overlooked him. My GOD do I hope he gets overlooked by enough teams so we can get him in the draft!
Oil kings just dont seem to have the luck/finish against Calgary this year. It's been a great game though, can't fault Brossoit for any of the goals. Liked what i saw from Lowe and Sautner, and I never give those two any credit.
Musils skating is a bit concerning though, he's gotten caught twice this game. But his strength, vision, and defensive awareness go a long way in to mask it in juniors but in my be another story as a pro.
Edit: honestly, how do the Oil Kings not pot one of these chances? 5 posts tonight I believe, some huge saves and crazy bounces. This couldve been a completely different game.

Besides Kamloops (which is pretty impressive considering how the Blazers played early on) the Oil Kings have looked very underwhelming against most of the other top clubs in the Dub.
Frick couldn't make it out to the game last season, haven't been in a few weeks now, making a conscious effort to get out to the Kamloops game. Driedger hasn't had a bad game against the OK's this year.

Hos positioning on 4 out of the 5 goals was not great.
They came out flying and then went too sleep it was not fun to watch
Looking more like his playoff run self. I have a feeling he is going to have a monster second half and rocket back up the draft rankings. I still feel that he has a game tailor made to the Oilers needs and we would be blessed to get him.
All joking aside are the OK's hemmed in their own zone so that they can't try to tie it up?
