Best alternate jersey?
I think the Bruins have the best one. Simple, yet has that old time feel to it.

I'm biased but after having this disaster of a 3rd:
The Sens improved significantly their third with this (which happens to have been designed by an HFBoards member: JerkStore)

Probably the bruins alternate.
Sens have a good one, but it looks even better since their primary logo is crap. I think perception is a bit skewed because of that.

The old NYR jersey was awesome, the Calgary one is also pretty cool but Ottawa takes it

BTW, did the oilers make their retro jersey permanent? That's a sharp one too

Oh, I know it's not the best....not to mention they are no longer going to wear them. That's too bad because I think it's a nice look.

Yes, and they're terrific, especially the white one.

If I were to ever buy a non Flyers jersey (which I never would), it would be the Wild green alternate.
The Leafs alternate is nice as well.

The senators alternate may be among the top jerseys in the league period. They'd be absolutely foolish to not make it their permanent look, with a corresponding white version.
Besides that, I really like the flames retro alternate, which I also believe should be their full time jersey, and I was a big fan of vancouvers white alternate, with the V in the stripes on the sleeve. Not sure if its still being used though. LAs purple and gold alternate is really cool too.

Screw the Bruins alts. They should have been yellow and I resent that they're not.
The Leafs, Rangers, Sens, Jackets, and Devils all have nice ones, but these are my favorites...
Always been a huge fan of third jerseys. Here's a couple of old jerseys I'd like to see made alts.
(white to honor the whiteout tradition)

It's just not the same without Spartacus.

A summary of my criteria for a good jersey is-
Logo: Strong relatively simple image with impact and strong dynamic outline. No bad illustration skills, no collections of itsy bitsy lettering and tiny clip art images all montaged together. Logo is usually best if it is not block lettering only .
Looking at a webpage that displays all of them, my favorites are:
1. San Jose
2. Calgary (ew, Calgary)
3. Ottawa
Those are the only good ones IMO.
The Rangers and Bruins jerseys have some appeal because of their simplicity and classic look, but some slight sticking points exist that keep them off my list.
