I'm surprised TWD won GotY, I personally would have gone with Dishonored but if it wasn't Dishonored, I would have gone with TWD.
Glad Half-Life 2 won Game of the Decade, glad to see there's still some common sense at the VGAs!
I am kind of pissed Mark of the Ninja didn't win the indie game of the year though. The game is just so awesome in so many different levels and did something completely fresh that just feels right.
I didnt watch the show, but if The Walking Dead won game of the year it is a fantastic choice. It may not appeal to the ADD crowd but it is a great game and I hope it influences more games with great stories rather than "shoot kill turn off your brain". AS well HL2 for game of decade is pretty much a given. I am not a fan of RPS but it is a masterpiece.
Makes perfect sense to me, but hey i'm talking to someone who hoped a 2011 game was gonna win 2012 GOTY
..... keep thinking that . And no I didn't think Skyrim would win GOTY lol , I was comparing all the things in Skyrim and why it won GOTY , compared to a game like Walking Dead.
I adknowledge the fact that TWD is a great fun experience and can be a great game at times but its was pretty poorly made. There's a laundry list of graphical errors and audiosync issues, also I felt like 4&5 should of just been one episode.
(Not even going to touch the fact that you can say the wrong thing and it will change your storyline completely bug or the deleted save bug)
Not taking anything away from it though, all issues aside I loved playing every second of it. But lets be honest here it won because of the tv show not off of its own merits.
How? it has no ties to the TV show or the comics except two minor characters in the first episode and it's not considered canon
Non-sense argument
Not really if you can't see the correlation between one of the most watched tv shows of all time sharing the same name with a semi-popular game that had a **** load of game breaking flaws then you're blind. I could careless if a game made a bunch of ******* cry, lets just forget all the other emotions that games bring out of people.
I'm glad Telltale is doing better though, now they won't close ... most of their games have been dismal lately. It will be interesting if the fadish love for TWD carries over for season 2 of the game.
And Skyrim? What a joke, the fact that the games popularity spiked after Oblivion just speaks wonders about the people who play it.
Listen to me humans, elfs, half jews and everybody else
I can't wait but theres two things i'm still wondering
Are they really going by the Paper Mario formula? i hope not, i much prefer 3 or 4 man parties to 2 man parties in turn based games and from what i've seen it's only 2
Other thing is i hope attacks later in the game do a lot of damage, in Paper Mario you only ever do like 5-6 damage in end game, it sucks
