They are not hard to find.

look at Phoenix, St-Louis, Dallas, Florida. They all found a starter without giving a fortune.
And many starter in the league are just well developed goalie who wasn't not first round draft pick.

The problem is, Toronto tried inadequately to find one.

If they never tried to acquire Toskala, Raycroft, Giguere. I believe they would have been a better team.

No from Montreal. The only way Price will be traded to Philly is if Giroux is coming back, he's just that valuable to the team.

I'm still against this trade because there is no goalie I would trade Price for (except maybe Quick) but

To Philly:
Price
Thrower
Desharnais
Habs 1st 2014 (probably a mid to late one)

To Habs:
Bryz
Couturier
Voracek
3rd 2012

Next years lineup:
Pacioretty - Couturier - Cole
Voracek - Plekanec - Gionta
Bourque - Galchenyuk - Eller
Moen - White - Prust
Leblanc

Gives the habs 3 legit scoring lines...idk how well (or bad) the lines would work in Philly

Never argue goalies with Palindrom, he thinks we should dump Price and go after Theodore. He doesn't that goalies that make more money do so because they are often better.

Pass. The only piece I'd consider for Price is Giroux. Highly doubt the Flyers even listen to a proposal with Giroux's name without hearing the names Malkin, Crosby, Tavares,etc. Price is as untouchable as Giroux.

Nop. Would it be lottery picks, it would be interesting, but considering it would be 25-30th pick, this offer is worthless.

Wouldn't trade Price alone for all that.

60 point 2nd line center who is getting better every year and the goalie with probably the most value in the league is worth a lot more than what the OP proposed.

Desharnais is so underrated by everyone including Habs fans, the kid is a magician and will only get better.

Imagine taking Bryzgalov and that rediculous contract off their hands. Throwing in a franchise goalie, blue-chipper like thrower, desharnais and a third. I don't understand why they didn't ask for patches too.

Christ @ dis thread....

The thing is, it's not about price's absolute value, it's about price's value to the habs. The canadiens have always, always have had elite or great goalies on their championship teams, Montreal has always been built from the net out. Price won't be moved unless the offer is beyond retarded
