Supposedly there are a lot of ties with Philadelphia. He's originally from there, and supposedly has some connections with some execs.
He was a Junior King..and LA is in California too. Who would want to live in Philadelphia

It's not that easy for a guy of Bonino's caliber. While he'd improve teams in many better leagues, most European elite league teams don't use their usually limited spots for imports for players like Bonino, and save their money and the slot for higher-profile guys, or wait until the season's cancelled entirely. For guys like him or Beleskey, there's probably just no spot available in a top league. And after that, it becomes a bit of a crap shoot - I'm not sure the players or agents really know how the secondary and lower tier leagues in Europe match up against each other. I agree that it obviously doesn't do anything (meaningful) for his development, but who knows whether there was a gig available for him in a spot that would even somewhat allow for that, like in Allsvenskan, Germany's 2nd league, or the likes. The market's pretty limited for him.

I won't disagree about the level of competition Bonino is facing. But in looking for a positive to it, he sure is gaining a lot of self confidence, even if it is against lesser opponents. Sometimes a little more self confidence can go a long way. Guys sometimes get sent down just for that reason.

I also think that playing real games, even at a lower level, is better than just practicing with better players. YMMV.

Wouldn't suprise me, Kings are always doing things Ducks have already done.

Haha I just watched the Thornton vs getzlaf fight the one at the start of the game. The only time I wanted getzlaf to destroy someone. I hate Thornton. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Beleskey with 2 assists and a shootout goal (I know, right?) yesterday.

Higlights

Watch Cogliano (and Gagner and Myers) live today when KAC takes on Vienna. Game starts in about 50 minutes from now (there's a small box on the left side, click play there and enlarge it to full-screen).

Don't tell anyone, but of all the LA Kings rosters they've ever had, I probably despise this one the least

I actually like Quick, Brad Doty, and Gagne.

Both Fowler and Ryan scored today. Fowlers team won!

So Ryan has 4 goals in 3 games, and Fowler has 1 goal and 3 assists in 6 games.

I just saw that on Ryans twitter. Here is the game report.

Ryan and Kopitar playing on the same line in that league doesn't seem fair. I imagine it's only a matter of time before they start tearing things up.

That must have been fun for the two of them. Are the two teams playing again?

The two teams are meeting again on the 23rd of January. Hopefully Ryan and Fowler won't be involved at that point though.

Here is Fowler's schedule for anyone who wants it.

#4 is obviously taken, and i hope it will be for a long time. As well i hope that #5 will be taken for a long time in Anaheim (Hamp played on Rogle with #5).

But he was wearing #3 in WJC, so he might as well take that number. Would be pretty decent core with numbers 3, 4 and 5
Vatanen wont get his 44 in next 2,5 years.

haha it's not like Sbisa will change his number. 3,4, and 5 would be really cool though!

Fowler's team lost 4-3 in a shootout. Fowler had an even strength goal and missed in the shootout.

Read assisted on Fowlers goal which should mean his value doubles in any proposals for Ryan.
