As per the poster's question, mid March would be dicey, but like Kayen says, it all depends, the weather can vary by thirty degrees that time of year.

Well actually besides the odd week of cold spell, most of last winter was pretty disappointing from a cold weather loving person's stand point. Sorry. But yeah, march can either be -20c to +10 ... which means it's up in the air.
