For a guy that supposedly has skating issues according to some, Lowry looks pretty damn good going wide on this d-man - at roughly the 48 second mark... http://www.whl.ca/video/index/id/1354993099
Nice vid Gump. Lowry looked good there. In all fairness though, Kale Kessey is a forward and is more known for his hits and fists (though he can score) then his speed.

Regardless of who it was, the point is that he manages to put himself into these sorts of advantageous positions night in and out this season. He does so by utilizing a skating ability that is better than some here are willing to admit. I know this because I bought a 10 game WHL live on-demand pass and have already used most of it watching Broncos games.

Lowry has so much upside. Not only is he getting better every year but just imagine when he fills his frame in 3 or so years (220 lbs), he will be a tough guy to stop.
Scheif with 3 points......upgraded to a "partial bust" unless he gives us a goal
Good. I was getting skeptical about his future with Kane if he discovered that he can do more than pass
On a more serious note:
I watched a TSN video and one of them (I think Button) said that, as Scheifele learns that he doesn't always just have to look for the pass, his play making skills will become an even more potent weapon as the options allow him to create more... which would be one of the few times I agree with Button, if it was him.
I'm pretty impressed at the play of our goalies in college so far this year. I don't think many expected much out of them this year but all three have shown solid play, especially the home town kid.

Agree: if he's consistently considered a danger to score, that could open up his linemates.
I get the Big Ten Network on Shaw (HD channel 232). They have a few upcoming Michigan games this winter:
January 8, 2013 7:30pm ET: Bowling Green at Michigan
February 1, 2013 6:30pm ET: Michigan State at Michigan
February 22, 2013 6:30pm ET: Michigan at Ohio State
Went up to Barrie to watch the game. The one thing Schiefele needs to do is add weight/muscle/strength. He still looks thin. As my friend said, he's all legs. It's the only thing holding him back at the moment from what I see. Granted I'm no scout, just my humble opinion.
I'm such a big fan of drafting goalies with later round selections who then get four years of NCAA development. I think it is such a wise organizational move. Low risk, medium-high reward.

Same here. That and Europe is probably the best place to find steals and have them develop the best.
Through talking to someone who is a goaltender connoisseur of sorts, I am being led to believe that younger brother Calvin, of lower draft position, is a higher-end prospect. I have no personal opinion on the matter.

I'd like to see the JETS nab one of these guys in the up coming draft .... Juuse Saros, Marcus Hogberg, Eamon McAdam or Spencer Martin. All seem to be high on potential and probably be available in the 4th round and later.
This is my preference rather than using a 2nd on the consensus top rated guys like Comrie or Fucale.
