They had 4 assistants this season, but the captain from last year was traded this summer.

Pribyl with an assist after one period.

Edit: make that a goal for Pribyl.

Vail's goal was a slapper on the point on the power play. I thought he played a solid game last night. Vail also got speared in the balls during a faceoff with like a second left in the game by Nick Cousins.

Cousins has to be one of my most hated junior hockey players ever. He can play hockey, but he's such a dirty player. It seems like he's always trying to hurt some and throwing fits of anger.

Anyways, pretty nice goal by Vail.

Highlights

Ho-Sang also had a brilliant assist on Ben Johnson's goal.

Ho-Sang looks great. A bit perturbed he wears 66 (a sacred number in my mind) but can't deny his skill. That was an obscene pass.

Walsh has good hands and a nice shot, he would be in the top 15 or so skill wise but his overall game needs polish.

Well Hagel is on an AHL contract and a UFA at seasons end so I doubt he's in the future plans. Palushaj I don't know what they will do with him but I wouldn't mind if he was with another team, has been very disappointing in Hamilton so far.
I wondered the same thing about Archie. I heard the play by play guys twice mention that some player was injured but both times I just happened to miss the name. I assumed it was OA.

I thought he looked involved and made some beautiful passes. Good wheels. Hardly looked selfish at all. Looked to be pretty tenacious on the puck at times too.

Thanks for the report on Walsh. I may have been too hopeful about him. Some scouting reports seemed to say that he had, or may have, elite offensive upside. Still convinced he'll get a shot with the Dogs regardless.

Flyers prospect. Gotta increase the level of dirtiness after the big trades.

A lesson that can be taken away from tonights Windsor-Sarnia game is to never use Vail on the SO

Also, Hudon with the lone game of the game so far 7:30 left in the game.

Watched the North Dakota game last night. MacMillan remains at LW on the top line with Kristo. Team ran into hot goaltending as they both had several chances and passes that may have scored on a different night. Denver's Finnish goalie (undrafted and someone to keep an eye on imo) was in the zone but overall a fun game to watch as two of the top teams in the NCAA went at it. Should be a fun rematch tonight.

Next weekend on tv is Cichy vs Bennett as two rivals meet, only the Friday night game is on though.

Also saw that Thrower is expected to play tonight.

He was back on the ice so perhaps they were just sitting him since it was a 1 goal game. He does seem to have good hands and offensive instincts, I am glad to see he's showing improvement.

Walsh has a lot of offensive skill as he can dish the puck but also has a nice release and knows where to be in the offensive zone. Plus he can use his size to win battles which helps, the knock on him in the past has been about his effort being more consistent but we'll see how things go for him as the season goes. Will be interesting to see what management does with the kids that have to be signed this summer.

Would have never believed to see such an awful unfortunate season so far from Thrower. Mindboggling...

Thrower hasn't missed a beat. He's been great all night. Playing aggressive, making great breakouts, and making some solid defensive plays too. He also just scored an amazing goal.

Intercepted a pass in the neutral zone, then came down the wing and toe dragged it around the defender. He then cut to the net and went backhand in tight and scored.

Just finished watching the Bulldogs win on the road in Hershey 3-2 reg.time.Tinordi and Beaulieu looked like veterans tonight, they're starting to get their legs and confidence. Great team effort throughout the game, definitely earned the win.

Wow, first game back and a goal and +4 for Thrower, the 2012 draft just keeps on giving.

Thrower's goal:

Sorry for the terrible quality. Best I could do. Hopefully the WHL website will have better quality video of it tomorrow.

kristo has been incredible for ND tonight. Sealed the game with the 5th goal. Earlier in the third he absolutely undressed a Denver dman with a disgusting toe drag and then beat the goalie on the backhand but hit the post. Wouldve been an amazing goal...
