I agree but why is he still wearing blue? I think Uribe has naked pictures of Colletti that he is hanging over his head.

boggles my mind how people think that guys that hit 40 home runs but hit .230 are awesome.

With Greinke bidding heading to $160 million and perhaps beyond, one Angels person said: "That's going to blow us out of the water."

@TBrownYahoo:
The Dodgers appear to be closing in on signing Zack Greinke. Still some ground to be covered, but they're out in front.

@jaysonst:
#Dodgers closing in on signing Zack Greinke, according to a source. More to come at ESPN.com

6 years $145M apparently is the deal.

A lot of cash. I'm glad it's the Dodgers and not the Rangers though.

24 million a year for the prime years of one of the best pitchers in baseball. For now it doesn't look unreasonable.

But how much does Felix get in a couple years if Seattle doesn't extend him? He would deserve way more than that.

He's 29. The Dodgers aren't getting his prime years, especially at the end of the deal.

Yes, preserve the mid-season Garza market.

Kershaw, Greinke, Beckett, Billingsley and then 1 of Capuano/Harang/Lilly. Not bad at all.

Not bad, but still not even the best rotation in the division.

The Dodgers rotation was arguably better than the Giants last season. Imagine adding Greinke and Ryu to that.

If reports are true, that's a lot less than people were predicting. I saw a number of reputable journalists predict his contract as surpassing Sabathia's.

http://www.captainsblog.info/wp-cont...nke-cover1.jpg four years later;

he's been phenom and a bust. he's walked away and come back. he's been a starter and a reliever, a genius and flake. he's only 29 and right now... the most expensive pitcher in baseball.

Source confirms: Greinke 6 years, $147M. His $24.5M average would be highest in history for a pitcher, surpassing CC Sabathia's $24.4M.

Will he receive this money through an off-shore bank account or in bags with dollar signs on them?
