Grabo is like Pleks. He SHOULD be on our first line till we find someone more suitable. Then again, I have no doubts that I am the only person on the leaf boards who is starting to want to break up the Kulemin, Mac, Grabo line.
I'm still amazed how he was a -3 in an 8(?)-3 win.

To be fair, Toronto scored 5 PPG that game, while Atlanta scored none. So in terms of goals that actually affect +/-, he was effectively -3 in a 4-3 win. Still bad, and there's zero doubt that Lebda was terrible for the Leafs in general, but this one game in particular needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
Grabo is like Pleks. He SHOULD be on our first line till we find someone more suitable. Then again, I have no doubts that I am the only person on the leaf boards who is starting to want to break up the Kulemin, Mac, Grabo line.
Plekanec is a better center than Grabo, for one thing he can win faceoffs and most importantly as a Center set up his linemates for goals. he's actually done a couple things Grabo has never done, made the playoffs, score 69 and 70 pts in a season. So it really isn't even close between the 2.
I think Grabo would be better served from a team stand point playing on the wing, this way he can concentrate on just putting the puck in the net, he's a 25 goal shoot first type of player, no need to make him the default #2C that he mediocrely performs. He can be a good 2nd line winger though.
Why not have him play right wing with Kule on the left.

I respect what you are saying but grabo plays the way a center should. Not every center is a faceoff specialist by any means and by putting Grabo on the wing you just hurt the teams need for centers even more. I really do not see Grabo as a winger by any means.

Grabo on the right wing can be a weapon, I can actually see how it might help him. I'm not saying he is Martin St Louis, for one thing he's not in the same league in hockey IQ, but he plays big and he has speed to come in on the off the wing. He's fearless on the wall, we are just removing Grabo from Center because he can't win faceoffs, or 51% against the weakest faceoff matchups and more importantly he is not a playmaking center. He doesn't help his wingers all that much. As a winger he may actually be a productive player worth 4.75M-5M a season. Not sure about 5.5 though.
Grabovski had a perfectly fine face-off percentage. He was 41st among all forwards. He is the definition of a center. Moving him to the wing would be absolutely idiotic, made more idiotic when you factor in the Leaf's center situation.

I could live with him on our present team but the better we get, we will need a Center with a lot more imtangbles than one that scores the pretty meaningless goals.
The reliability of your memory of anything Grabovski has done is highly questionable.

I've stated my points many times here, including the irrefutable evidence he is not a very proficient playmaker when his enablers claim he is, when you have never had more than 29 assists in 1 season in your career, how can one claim Grabo is a good playmaker is beyond me.

He isn't an Adam Oates so just relax. Sheesh. YOu say playmaker around here and if a guy doesn't have 50 assists he sucks.
My best advice would be to actually watch him. If after 5-10 games you still think he sucks we can revisit it .
