There is /was a trade offer made in the bernier thread that had kings sending bernier moller and lotkionov for a top 10 protected 1st ( which goes to 14 as another 1st if not) ross and ashton I counter with it being a top nine protected but i think the offer was pretty close to me.
If the guys Columbus have don't work out, they may be asking again. I'd love to do Bernier, Loktionov and Toffoli for Ryan Murray.
I honestly don't see either team doing it. First of all Toffoli is the kings best young top 6 player who we will need to replace williams in a 2 years. The kings have alot of young defenseman and really don't need anymore. Also Murray is hurt and out for a year this will hurt his developement I don't see him being ready for 2 years which is when forbert is suposed to be ready for nhl who in my opinion could be as good as murray. Kings need to add to the forward depth not loose it for more defense.
I would have to say no even thou grabner's speed would be a good addition to the kings we need a frist round pick back with Bernier. Its the one thing i ve seen the king fans agree on ( like any fan base a rare thing to get a majority of people to agree on )
Edmonton might have some interest in Bernier as Khabibulin is out indefinitely, and our minor league goalie isn't doing so hot as of late. Loktionov is interesting for sure, but he's no top-6 centre yet. Might be fun to see him with Yakupov.

Again i don't see a trade with edmonton without it being a overpayment in las favour. If edmonton was in the east maybe a 1st msp omark and maybe Curtis Hamilton would be fair but there in the east, I really don't see la helping edmonton become a powerhouse team with Bernier and Lokitonov. I think Loktionov and Yakupov would be amazing. I see Lokti as a good 2nd line center just needing the right system to play in and more offensive wingers which is what edmonton has.
As a Kings fan, I'm not so sold on moving Bernier yet. I don't think market value for him is that high right now, and I think he's far more valuable to our team (and as a player in general) than what people are offering for him. The numbers don't show everything, as he's mainly been called upon to play on back-to-backs or on road trips. He's actually a very good goalie, and he's only gonna get better.
