Ok that's pretty much what I've done so far but we use Chrome-books so instead of word, excel etc. we used google docs. It's probably one of my favourite classes right now It's my highest mark at 91.

EDIT: No it wouldn't Main

We use Google Docs too, she showed us how to use Excell but we did our powerpoint presentations in Google.

It's my least favourite class. It is my best mark right now though, with an 81.

By 'computer hardware'... do you guys mean you learned the basic definitions for mouse, keyboard, monitor, CPU, GPU etc? Because that's what we learned in Grade 9 business. Didn't learn anything about what to look for in a GPU, a CPU, a monitor, or anything that could have actually been useful.

Haha the one thing I hate is that we listen to music all class and people always pick the "New Pop Hits" playlist so i am stuck listening to Rihanna, One Direction, Bieber, Nicki Minaj etc.

Edit: Yea that's all I learned CH.

Bit of a waste. Figure they might as well teach kids a little more about how the computer actually works, and what you should look for in each component, rather than just CPU = computer processing unit

Pretty much. Although we did have a project where you had to pick out a computer for your family and say why.

Ouch. Do Chrome-books or whatever have earphone jacks? You must save yourself!

If they teach kids useful information about a computer it will ruin the chance that in the future they'll be in charge of a team of computer engineers, order them around, make them implement idiotic policies, and have absolutely no idea what they do.

You must do it. You cannot suffer through this any longer.

I would waste away Business class on YouTube if the earphone jack on my computer wasn't broken.

Honestly, Grade 9 business class shouldn't have to teach kids what a mouse is, or how to insert an image into MS Word. Those are things kids should (and for the overwhelming majority, actually do) know already.

They should teach kids about computers all through grade school.

Now a days they are going to be a tool in 99% of professions.

And in the future they are going to be even more important.

Not to mention they are part of our daily lives.

Remember - in order for them to be successful managers they must not have any clue of the technical abilities of their constituents. They must focus on soft skills like demanding their subordinates document everything, deflect and assign blame, and conduct incoherent performance reviews.

I don't ever use a computer. I don't even own one.
