Jeremy Jacobs

Is there a worse owner in this CBA mess than Jacobs? This guy is such an unbelievable cheapskate. He is a big reason there is no hockey right now.

Thank you Jeremy Jacobs and the Boston Bruins for ruining hockey.

This guy made his employees pay taxes on the 2011' cup rings

Only person causing the lockout? Trying to say the other 28 owners are happy with the old CBA?

The Bruins 2011' cup rings came from a candy machine.

At least Jacobs is involved in the negotiations. Can't get a deal done if they don't talk. I don't necessarily agree with his standpoint but he IS in there trying to get **** done. Lots of owners are not even involved in the process. Jacobs is working really hard.

He's there to make sure he doesn't have to spend too much on the players. The guy is the ultimate hardliner.

What? Larry Tanenbaum was one of the 6 owners there working night and day to get a deal done last week.

The Leafs do more for the NHl from a financial standpoint than any NHL team.

He was forced too because the crowds stopped showing up. His cheapness was costing him lots of money.

I would consider myself pro-player in this lock-out and I do not agree with Jacobs' viewpoint.

That being said, you cannot consider someone like Jacobs who is negotiating with players and trying hard to get a deal done as the worst owner in this CBA discussion.

For the CBA to work for all parties involved, it is important to consider as many viewpoints as possible. You can guarantee there are other owners that feel like Jacobs that are just not as involved in the process.

but thats just cause they make the most amount of money even though their team is almost complete garbage... their ahl affiliate is a dominating force but the nhl team cant seem to put a playoff product on the table... crazy shiit. but hey the GTA has over 10 million ppl and a lot of them love hockey.

He's had one of the largest payrolls in the league nearly every year since the 90's. In recent years we've struggled to stay UNDER the cap. Saying Jacobs is a cheapskate isn't really accurate when it comes to the Bruins.

Now, in terms of negotiations, I'm sure he's a hardass. What successful businessman isn't? This is what they do, so I'm not sure where the surprise kicks in.

The players are just as much to blame for there being no hockey right now as any group of people or one particular person.. if not more after these past negotiations. And apparently, it's been reported that Jeremy Jacobs has been the most helpful owner in the recent negotiations with the players ( Dec 5th ).

Considering the OP, it's pretty clear that this has less to do with Jeremy Jacobs and more to do with a troll attempt at the Bruins from a bitter Leaf's fan.

I haven't seen this reported anywhere.

Besides, the negotiating was over once Fehr asked for more. Tanenbaum was there for that.

Yeah and ownership covers it. Except when Jeremy Jacobs is the owner.

Blah, blah, blah. 1967'.. Lazy argument. Jacobs and the Bruins are the bad guys here. Live with it.

Oh come on. I have 40 years of history to prove it. And saying since the 90's is not accurate. The Ray Bourque cap was there until 2000'.

Ask Adam Oates if he feels Jacobs wasn't a cheapskate in the 90's.
