The Rebels fall 5-4 in Over-time to the Brandon Wheat Kings in a very entertaining game. Our 9 game win-streak has ended but we picked up a point and picked up 5 of a possible 6 points on this little road trip we had. Bellerive, Dieno, Dumba and Johnson all scored for us. With that win at the moment we're tied with 41 points with the Edmonton Oil Kings but not for long and it looks like Edmonton's going to win. I will update the standings after the Oil-Kings game.
Now onto the Oil Kings! The are playing there 2nd stint in the home in home with the Calgary Hitmen and are up 3-0! I didn't see they lost last night but it's just good that they're winning now. Reinhart, Legault and Samuelsson all scored for us, Roach replied for them.
Prince Albert is up 5-0 on the Meddy Hat Tigers right now so that Eastern Conference is still tight with all these teams rollin'.
The Rebels take on Calgary in a big Divisional and Conference match-up on Wednesday, then they play Victoria and Kelowna next weekend at home. Then the Kootenay Ice on the 18th(Tuesday) to close off there games before the Christmas break. Dumba and Bartosak are off to there respective Selection Camps along with Brossoit and Reinhart for the Oil Kings. So the boys have to play hard with those guys gone.
Wow, the Hitmen came back to almost tie it 3-2. But then Wruck sealed the deal with an empty netter.
With that win Edmonton ties Calgary with 43 points.
Calgary took on Kamloops in a very intruiging top VS. top Conference battle. Kamloops came out on top in a close tilt, 3-2 in the Shoot-out.
Edmonton takes on Kamloops tomorrow, in what will be a very very good game. Let's hope we can pull of a Win.
ALSO, the Rebs take on Calgary! Some great games on the sked tomorrow. Let's win Oil Kings and Rebels and pull into my 2 favorite WHL teams going into the top of the West and Central.

I wouldn't be surprised at all. Kamloops coming off a huge bus ride then playing Calgary last night, and now going into Edmonton. Kamloops will have to be something very special to pull this one out.
Also if anyone wants to stream the shaw channel tonight that would be awesome! Only thing I dislike about being with telus, is not getting the Shaw channel

Brent Sutter has added to his list of "Wheelings and Dealing's" today with another deal. He struck another deal with Regina. It saw Marc McCoy, Filip Vasko and a conditional 2015 Bantam Draft Pick going to Regina in exchange for Dominik Volek, going to the Rebels.
Looks like he'll be adding more of a scoring threat to are line-up. I'm neutral with this deal, especially being that I havn't heard/seen him yet.
Depth just killed Kamloops tonight, when you have 3 lines that can all score and Oil Kings top players all played fantastic, you're always going to lose.
Kelowna beats Lethbridge 3-1 tonight. Rockets dominated the first two periods but the Hurricanes dominated the 3rd. Hit about 4 posts in the third, and just couldn't get the equalizer.

They were 0-8 on the pp. Horrible officiating in that game. Zalaski should have been 86'd a long time ago.
Kamloops isnt as good as their record would indicate.
I cant see them making it out of the WC.
Looks like it will be Portland again unfortunately.
Kelowna might have something to say about that though.

As Liquor said, 0 for 8 on the PP kills yea. I think the biggest factor (based on the third period) was the blazers fatigue. Had to bus from vancouver to calgary overnight, then play Calgary that night, then play Edmonton the next night. It just wasn't fesable to win this game, I was very surprised we didnt play Kozun. He has been good, and honestly, we couldn't of expected to win this game. I cant wait until after christmas, we will get our captain back, and We will pick up another 20 yr old, yes ANOTHER 20 yr old. This morning the Blazers sent Charles Inglis packing. Doesn't sound like anything off ice, just needed scoring from our third 20 yr old and he didnt bring it.
The Rebels faced the Victoria Royals for the first time at home this evening. This game was also broadcasted on Sportsnet. I was shown a few times, haha(the back of my head anyways). It was a very entertaining game. We pulled out the win in the shoot-out 3-2. Both goalies were solid(Polivka and Pouliot). Conner Bleackley with the S.O game-winner.
Also, everything at the Rebels store was 15% off so I picked up some items along with a new much needed Rebels jersey so that was nice. All in all a great night.

Entertaining game for sure, can't believe Red Deer went 3/3 in the Shootout.

Yeah, well we got some great sniper additions this year with Dieno and Bellerive. Bleackley was a great first round pick, he'll have a great WHL career.
