How's the quality of play been in Knicks-Bulls thusfar? Low scoring due to good defense, or bad offense?

Mostly bad offense. So many ill advised turnovers by both sides.

JR Smith has killed the Knicks today.

Combination of both. Very frustrating night as a Knick fan.

Yeah I turned it on anyways. Really lifeless, ugly 4th quarter here.

First few minutes of the 4th had a nice flow to it. But its been up and down sloppyness since the 9 minute mark.

Still anyones game, Chandler with 5 fouls. Bulls play great perimeter D.

Knicks-Bulls officiating has been terrible for both teams. Just an ugly affair. The defense has been good on both sides but sloppy too.

Knicks never win in Chicago. I'd love to know their record there since the late 1980s.

Just like that -- perfect example...Chandler just shoved Noah to the ground and nothing called

And Smith isn't the problem tonight...Friggin Felton has taken 30 shots and hit only nine.

Don't quote me, but I believe he was on a vet roster plus players don't play as many minutes over there. It is more of a team involved thing than it is about individual stats. Of course there may have been a bit of him just not playing well, but it seemed like more of a combo of things than just one thing. Maybe someone else will know better though.

And some crazy scores in the NBA tonight. Spurs set a franchise record of 19 3 pointers

Belinelli went off. I knew he would hit that shot at the end of the first lol. I root for the Knicks slightly less than the Nets (my hometown Kings I don't really follow as much anymore) so I really like their start so far.

Wow, you're right! I looked it up on ShrpSports and started with the 88-89 season to the present counting playoff games. Knicks are 10-54 in Chicago since then and 3-18 since March 2001. Ugly. I'm fascinated with teams' records in different buildings

Kinda like how Ovechkin didn't exactly have beastly numbers before coming over to the NHL.

Blazers thrashed at home by the Kings.

What's going on in Portland? They got mediocre really fast.

Who exactly is their go-to guy outside of Aldridge?

Worst bench in the league.

Hawks are on fire right now. Beat Grizzlies last night, something like a 15-0 run, could have been more. Tomorrow another big game for them against Miami. 9-1 in last 10, no team apparently has shot over 50% against them this season. Impressive.

Lillard is a stud and Matthews and Batum are very good players.

I noticed that last night. They have a bunch of bangers and a couple spot shooters, but no one with any real skill coming off their bench.

I've always liked the Blazers largely due to Portland being a kick ass city, and if the Kings move one day, they'll become my team, but they went from a playoff team to a 12-13 team really quickly.

Young team, new coach, no bench. (Seriously, their best bench player should be a 10th man.)

Aldridge and Lillard don't have great chemistry yet, often times only one or the other has a good game, and they need both to play at an all-star level. Batum is playing a bigger role, but still to streaky and passive. Hickson is a great go to bench big, but he's not a natural center.

And to top it off, they are quite poor defensively. Lillard does not yet know how to guard NBA level PGs. Matthews is a good perimeter defender, but he's not a game changer. Batum is too streaky, he is capable of guarding any SF, but often doesn't bother. Aldridge is best cast as the support big defender where his length and agility can be put to full effect. But he lack of strength means he can be bullied when he's ask to go man to man with elite post players. And Hickson is an energy rebounder who can be decent against most PFs, but is playing center where he can be out matched in height, length and strength. Leonard is their only true center and the future when it comes to guarding the paint, but he is still VERY raw.

Stephen Jackson fined $25K by the NBA and the Spurs say they will also fine him for this tweet:

Quote:
Somebody tel serg Abaka. He aint bout dis life. Next time he run up on me im goin in his mouth. That’s a promise. He doin 2 much.
Apparently that was his response to seeing Ibaka get into it with Artest the other night.

Now, can someone please translate that into English and let me know what he's trying to say? That "goin in his mouth" part really threw me off.

I figured it was a physical threat. Basically telling Ibaka that he runs his mouth too much...
