No sarcasm. I just found the timing of that news right after your post a little bit funny. I just hope that KHL will win you over even if that merge happens.

impressive win today. 7-3 against Lokomotiv. that's unexpected to say at least.

Just returned a couple of hours ago from Lev's first ever fan trip. Too bad we lost, but the trip was fun and worth it nonetheless. Even though there were only a few of us against the 10000 Slovan fans in the arena, we still managed to be at times loud enough so the opposite sector of Slovan fans wasn't too "happy" with that.

Chanting Chara's name really pi**ed-off a lot of Slovan fans, hehe.

The remaining 2 games will be ours, count on that.

EDIT: Anyway, I've been the part of the Lev's fanklub since the beginning, visiting all the home matches so far. It's like a dream come through - having KHL in my city. Also the lockout in the NHL is still going, meaning all the world's superstars can be seen with my own eyes, incredible.

As for the "forbidden" chants like "ruský kurvy" etc., like some mentioned here in the forum before the season: First of all, the reglament of KHL forbids these and if we don't comply, the club will get huge fines resulting in ruined relations between the fanklub and the club itself.
Second - the guys assembled so far in the fanklub are really cool dudes most of the time, I'm really glad I can be part of this first wave of Lev's hardcore/ultras fans, supporting actively our guys on the ice from the stands during every single match. Also they know I'm Russian and they don't want to provoke me too much.

EDIT: Also the match with CSKA was a tough one, choosing between supporting the team I loved before the KHL arrived in Prague and my local team.

Why did Chara sign with Lev instead of Slovan?

dont know, but consider this:

- he was raised by Dukla Trencin, big rival of Slovan
- he left Dukla to play Sparta Prague as junior (or so), because coaches from Dukla told him - "finish your hockey career as soon as possible. You wont be hockey player, you are looser". And Sparta Prague and HC LEV have the same owner now.

- higher paycheck in HC LEV than in Slovan

But main reason is that Slovan didn't give him an offer, Sekera and Visnovsky were already signed.

50 % is owned by ČKD Group
another 50 % is owned by a Swiss company owned by Russians (A-Energy I believe).

something like that, but ... all shares of HC LEV are owned by SPORTOVNÍ HOLDING PRAHA, a.s. (JSC) . And shareholders of this JSC are not publicly known. But as you said, there are CKD Group (via HANBURY FINANCE LIMITED, 78 York Street, London W1H 1DP) and A-Energy Holding SA, Piazza Manzoni 3, 6900 Lugano,Suiss

So, what's your prediction for Lev could make play-off ? What do you think about new kids on team (Danielsson, Gynge, Nizivijs, Lepistö) I really like Dan and Gyn at this point. There are many injuries right now. Players need to take a time in build up some chemistry in lines.

As I see, there is good chance for play-off, but first round can be the last one for Lev as underdogs. Obviously still question, who will be the opponent...

Rather disappointing results lately. Seems there are lots of late-game collapses (see 3rd period today). And Štěpánek (I know, not in goal today) is of little help, I'm afraid. I hope Lev will make it to the play-offs and beyond the 1st round -- but not at Slovan's expense.

Today result is making it way more difficult. This is a really bad string of results in most important time.

nothing´s lost, Lev is only 2 pts from 8th with a game in hands. Just beat the Severstal (good luck though, our record with them is 0-0-2, 0:9 )

I look forward to going to a few games next season while I am over that way. Anyone know how hard tickets are to get and so forth? Can you get them at the door or do you have to book them online?

Thanks.

I think you can buy tickets at arena a few hours before game. Games are not usually sold out, of course, if you dont visit game against Slovan Bratislava

It is not known calendar of new season, I would say season begins early september.

Don't forget, you must have 4 juniors and there isn't player born '92 or younger
