I'm kind of confused as to why bystrom was left off the wj roster he leads all junior dmen in goals and assists and is sixth among all junior players (u-20) in points in the SEL, is he not solid defensively yet or is there more to the story.

I like that on our rankings 'not replacing Sergei Zubov' is a weakness. I think it's safe to say all 30 teams share that one.

Just realized I had never made a BU icon since Chiasson was the only Hockey East player we had...

Smith, Stransky, Winther, Winkler, Ritchie, Faksa(ish) all having a pretty good year so far. Pretty solid drafting the last 2 years.

I am not sure if anyone watched the Niagra vs London game last night, but I caught the 2nd and 3rd period and wow was I impressed with Ritchie. A lot of people talk about his numbers being so good because he plays with Strome, and that helps a ton, but Ritchie made a lot happen on his own. I was very impressed with all aspects of his game, and he was playing against a team that has won 17 or 18 straight games. I can't wait to see him against the big boys and see how he does.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Stars' scouts were trying to determine right now whether Ritchie could make the jump straight to the NHL if the lockout were to end.

Looks like Stransky had a solid game last night, and he has another goal today.

If a top 6 winger were to get injured (no lockout), very curious what the scouts and Joe would think.

Make that 2G and 1A so far for Strasnky today. The guy is on a rampage.
Edit: 5G 3A - 8 points in his last 3 games.

He was one of the guys Joe listed as an eligible junior to play in the NHL this years. So, you never know.

A bit annoying that the Ryan Strome article for the Prospect of the Month acts like Ritchie is solely riding his coattails.

I saw that. It is what it is. I like to read some of the articles but I don't put much into any of them. That one in particular seemed to be written primarly for Islanders fans so marginalizing another good player while making theirs look better is to be expected.

My favorite part is that in the picture that accompanies the article Ritchie looks like he's literally trying to ride Strome's coattails.

Faksa did score in the shootout for Kitchener but it wasn't enough to get the win.
For some reason I couldn't rip the video of Stransky's performance on Saturday.
You should go watch the highlights though. His 2nd goal in particular is very nice.

Nice to see Stransky staying keeping the pace going. After that slow start he's right where we all expected him to be this season.
