Even with Manziel winning the Heisman, there's so much time for things to go wrong. On top of this, he's now under a microscope for 2 more years. His game is going to be picked to absolute shreds for the next 24 months. By time he gets to the draft, he'll be a 4th round prospect because every single flaw he has will be blown out of proportion.
Manziel will be a pretty good prospect in 2 to 3 years. If the Steelers are going to take a QB in this upcoming draft it needs to be a Kirk Cousins type in the 4th or 5th round. I want the Steelers to draft Jarvis Jones a LB out of Georgia 6-3,241 he 's a junior though, might have to trade up....
Thing with Manziel is that he doesn't take snaps under center, and he only faced 4 good teams all year. He doesn't strike me as a Pro QB, like Eric Crouch.
Yeah, Manziel will have some work to do once he turns pro. He could definitely be brought along like Aaron Rodgers, since Rodgers was also a spread QB.
Then again, spread QB's have been doing pretty well in the NFL lately.

I think that Manziel is a better passer than Crouch though. I think Tebow was a supersized Crouch. And I liken Denard Robinson to a faster version of Antwan Randle-El.

Agreed on that last point. Look at how quickly Cam Newton and RGIII have had an impact in the NFL.

Gotta see more than one year. He's no Newton, who is a physical freak.
