It's some of the most entertaining plays in the game. Football is becoming a ***** sport.
For fun I'll play Devil's Advocate:

Most of the time, they just boot it out the other side of the endzone.

In addition, plenty of bad players are taking up roster spots due to being special teamers. Perhaps eliminating the kickoff would give more roster spots to guys capable of playing regular downs.

Injuries are mounting. This would cut back potential injuries out of kickoffs, but you would still have punt returning.

I'm not arguing this, but in reality, how many injuries occur on kickoffs that would legitimately be eliminated?

Even if it will eliminate injuries, I can't stand that this game is getting so soft. Injuries happen. It sucks. But you are playing a game where there is going to be serious physical contact on every single play of the game. You've set up rules so QB's are untouchable. Defenders can't hit hard in the field or they will be fined and suspended and penalized for hits to the head. Now there is talk to get kickoffs out of the game. Maybe next they will make a rule about how fast you can run or how hard you can throw the ball. I am a big Greg Schiano fan, but gimme a break.

It's pretty clear why Schiano is against the kickoffs, I'm assuming it's almost completely because of what happened to LeGrande under his watch.

Exactly what I was going to post.

Seeing a guy on your team get paralyzed on a kick-off has to automatically make you at least consider other ideas.

Eagles are 3-9, could probably finish 3-13. They're in Tampa as they're honoring their SB win that came at the expense of the Birds in one of the worst games they've played.

I don't even know why I'm watching this.

This is a total snorefest.

And man on man, I would be holding my breath every time Brown has the ball. That ball position is brutal

Knee injuries and Blount's emergence pretty much turned Cadillac into a 3rd down back. Then he signed in St Louis

Eagles have a dismal 1st quarter. That's only happened about every game.

There are less punts in a wine cellar.
(The indents in the bottom of wine bottles are also called punts for those that don't know)

Did DRC take some PEDs this week?

He's making plays, big hits, and good tackles.

As a Bucs fan, this is royally embarassing.

Its about as obvious as it gets with the Bucs. Stop Martin and make Freeman throw. When the run game is good, it opens up the field for Freeman. When you stop the run, Freeman looks like he does today.
