Wolves broadcast said it was the first time in 58 games the Griffins had a shutout. Almost a year apart.
Anyway, McCollum had quite a few quality stops and flashed some confidence we haven't seen in a long time. One step back, two steps forward seems to be working for him. But he needs like three more steps forward.
I also think Ferraro is due to try a bigger offensive role now. 15 points in 21 games, juggled between the 2nd and 3rd line aswell as on the 2nd PP unit. Now I wouldn't split the PP units, because they both got chemistry, but a bump up to center Nyquist and Tatar would seem justified at this point. Let's see what he can do on a real scoring line.

Times ten.

I'm against it in a sense that it would be all midget line.
And for because he deserves it, it would bring RH shot to that line and all that hustle and speed would be fun to watch.

Ferraro is starting to look like the player we drafted... McCollum... any good games is good news. I like the blue collar quality about our current prospects. Very little entitlement (other than smith... who is quickly becoming overrated).

Wow 15 points, didn't realize he had that much.
In the NHL I would be against it but this is the minors after all and he's been the best center this season. Not necessarily a permanent move, if it hurts team success overall it's not really worth it.

Good for Tommy. One game doesn't make him a top prospect but he does seem to be playing better without any pressure seeing as how Mrazek has become the #1 netminder. Really happy for Ferraro too, he's blossomed this season. As his dad once joked about over-ripeness "he's not even ripe yet!" Sure seems like he's getting there this season.

Ferraro opens up the scoring against rockford, has easily been the most impressive griffin as of late, i can see him as either a great third liner like helm or a 2nd/3rd line tweener.
Powerplay already 0/3... Are they getting chances at least?
Yes, but I'd like Smith to step up and be the trigger man. Teams are kinda collapsing against the Griffins because they know Nyquist and Tatar are great down low, so there's a lot of room at the blue line where the Griffins aren't cashing in very often.
