Coughlin's 66 and won two SB's, he's going to get to retire as a Giant. The Giants are weird in that it's literally either SB or bust for them, as far as results go but it's not like there's anyone sitting out there that would be a great improvement and their biggest strength is stability.
I'm not expecting more, I'm expecting consistency. His other 7 years here have 0 playoff wins and to be frank we got lucky with our 2 championships.
His message is tuned out. He preaches discipline and this team is taking dumb penalty after dumb penalty. I'm amazed there hasn't been a hold on a kickoff yet.
Colts are two games up in the WC race and currently hold the tie breakers over both the Bengals and Steelers, although it's possible either team can re-claim the tie breaker although unlikely. One more win for Luck and the Colts effectively clinch a playoff spot.
Luck already has the most wins by a 1st overall QB as a rookie and could be the first to make the playoffs. Pretty incredible what he's done with the limited weapons around him.
Luck is always going to play a huge part in it in a sport that has such small sample sizes.
How the hell did Tynes miss a 32 yard try?
That's a cop out answer. This team has underachieved with what it has had the past decade and if you don't believe that then I don't know what to tell you. Look at the years in between the Super Bowls. Look at how this team manages to always just fall off a cliff. But the ignorant turn a blind eye to it because of one 4 game stretch where he finally got the team to hit its potential. Whoopie!

Yeah, I've never been impressed with Coughlin personally. He's on the hot seat seemingly every year. Giants Super Bowl wins have more to do with Eli and the D-line getting in a groove heading into the playoffs than it has to do with his coaching.
Bears blew today's game. Now I really am a little worried about making the playoffs. Still think they can reel off two wins in the next three weeks. 9-7 might be good enough to make it this year too. We'll see. I'll be at the Bears-Cards game in two weeks. If they can't beat them, they don't deserve the post season.
I still don't understand why you call the play they did on 3 and 1 that was a pick six. Bad call and awful execution. Also our wideouts and tight ends need to learn how to catch the ball. Outside of Marshall of course.
Pass interference against both the receiver and CB on the same play? I don't think I've ever seen that before.
I've never seen that either and I'm not sure he can even do that. Between that call and weird hold on Bradshaw where he swung and miss that was a great drive by Eli to get the touchdown.

He's a great coach and seems to find a way to win games but I just think his message is starting to get phased out. Not many coaches are able to last a decade+ with the same team anymore. I don't think I've ever seen a Giant team take so many unusual penalties and that's something he takes pride in eliminating.
If it wasn't for Eli and the defensive line though I think he's gone right after Plax shot himself.
I have no clue why Smith isn't playing today but I guess they thought OT lost to rams not that bad. And like I said his first lost was in OT...........
