I expected this actually.

The Sens have had a very highly rated prospect list for a couple of years now, much of which was based on depth. This in turn means that they have solid depth at the AHL level. With the addition of Benoit, Eckford and Jessiman, they were able to add veteran talent in places of weakness.

Now throw in highly talented players from Europe and Juniors, and you are ripe for as team that will take time to get their feet wet, then improve as the season wore on.

It happened faster than I expected, and hopefully it will continue.

I'd say Grant before I said Hoffman. Grant was the one putting the puck in the net when nobody else was scoring. It may not matter as much anymore, but a few games ago his line was the most productive.

While the B-Sens streak so far has been impressive. Another impressive streak is that the last time the Crunch (last years Admirals) dropped 2 straight was Jan. 28-Feb. 3, 2012. That translates to the final 30 games of last year's regular season in Norfolk, 18 en route to the Calder Cup and 21 so far this season.
For those bad at math that’s a stretch of 69 games.

Edit: just thought I'd point out 60 of those are wins

Bingo's winning streak is over.

Andersen is now 1st amongst rookies in save percentage(6th in the league) and second in GAA(11th in the league). Looks like he may finally be hitting his stride in North America.

Springfield is now at the top having beaten the Ice Caps. Atkinson and Audy-Marchessault are tied for 3rd in the league with 25 points apiece (along with Tyler Johnson and Brayden Schenn).

I'm in the midst of watching the replay. That Da Costa is something else.

Springfield

Abbotsford

Running this league, over .700 win%

But still pretty high parity in the AHL. Compare to NBA when you have 7 teams over .700, two over .800. Compare to MLB

Thanks, Da Costa is our x-factor prospect. He can surprise the league by huge storm or just be another AHL star. He racked better/equal numbers to Toews/Van Riemsdyk/Oshie in the NCAA. Consistency and conditioning are the only knocks on him.

Andersson and Vatanen are really solid.

Eberle is shooting at a 25% shooting % through 22 games, of course it's going to go down, but that's just ridiculous.
He's only taken 3 shots in the last 2 games, and 2 of them are goals haha.

Far too small of a sample size for the standings to mean a ton. Streaks have determined the season 20 games or so in.

Justin Schultz is the real deal. All the nay sayers will soon be chomping at the bit to get him on their fantasy team.

Eberle is sustaining an unsustainable shooting percentage, because he has a sustaining skill.

Disagree, he's playing in the AHL getting top PP minutes with Eberle, RNH, and Hall...

Thats THREE NHL stars playing in a much weaker league.

Obviously, he has been impressive, but take it all with a grain of salt because of who he's playing with.

Play devils advocate all you want.. I'm going to laugh when he racks up the points against the Avalanche for years to come!

While I think he could sustain a 16 to 18 sh% in the AHL, 25% is overkill and will come down.
