That tie helps them. It was against the 49ers on the road.

So the Seahawks have a very good chance of playing the Packers in the playoffs?

Probably go in and kick the Packers ass there.

Absolutely nothing has been decided to say anyone has a very good shot at playing anyone right now. About the only thing that seems certain is Richard Sherman missing a playoff game or two. Add in the fact that they're a completely different team on the road and I don't see the Seahawks kicking anyone's ass in the playoffs.

Much as I'd love to see it, I'm not holding my breath.

I'll be happy with any playoff appearance, rookie QB and all.

Browner-Trufant is still an above average CB combo if they don't have Sherman. Seattle is a well oiled machine and Wilson surprisingly has only gotten better and better. They are the ultimate darkhorse superbowl team right now.

Road losses include Arizona, Detroit, Miami, St. Louis and San Francisco, and they barely beat Carolina only because of Cam's AWFUL throw to an open Hartsock on 4th and goal from the 2. They did beat Chicago on the road, but they're awful right now. Seattle isn't winning 3 in a row on the road.

They have a very good shot at winning that division. They'd be an incredibly scary 2 seed.

Very good shot? I'm not even convinced they'll beat Buffalo this weekend, and they need to pick up 2 games on SF with 3 remaining. It helps that they play them in 2 weeks and SF plays the Pats next week, but let's not go overrating Seattle just yet. Besides, GB would likely grab the #2 *if* Seattle makes up enough ground on SF to win that division.

Though it is interesting to revisit that MNF game in the unlikely event that they do tie for the #2/#3 seed by record.

Chan Gailey will assure that. It's a gimme.

What I'm saying is, it could easily be within their reach. They'd just have to win some winnable games and beat the 49ers.

Seattle would have to sweep these 3 games and have SF lose 2 out of 3, with one of those being at home vs Ari.

Seattle doesn't have a "good shot" at the division.

They should try having that game in Vancouver once too. Could attract a solid crowd.

Seattle wins all 3 and SF loses to NE and Sea and Sea wins division no?

Correct. That can happen, but I wouldn't call that a good shot. SF is still in very good control of their own destiny.

Uh, if they lose to the Pats, likely, and Seattle on the road, very possible, then Seattle is in the driver's seat, assuming they beat Buffalo. Then they'd need to beat STL at home to take care of business.

Seattle starts with the Bills on the road in the closest thing we'll have to Hockey Night In Canada this year, and despite what Grigs said, I expect that to be a competitive game. Remember, less than a month ago Buffalo went into Foxboro and nearly beat the Patriots, who just embarrassed the supposed best team in the NFL on MNF. This doesn't bode well for the 49ers, their opponent on SNF, but I expect their defense to put up more of an effort than the battered Texans' Defense.

Following that, Seattle has two teams it's already lost to (albeit on the road) in SF and STL. The Rams *could* be playing for a playoff spot in that game, so it won't be a piece of cake either. And Richard Sherman is set to be suspended on the 14th, which means for that pivotal game against SF and potentially STL, they'll be without both Browner and Sherman. Seattle may win the other two, but I really can't see SF losing to Seattle with both of those corners out. Following that, I can't see them winning 3 straight on the road to make the SB. Rookie QBs just don't do that, I don't care how good the defense is.
