Or it could get him some confidence and get him going. Biggest thing with Sanchez is confidence. Once he gets rattled, it's over. With a game in Jacksonville followed up by a game in Tennessee, it's a good time to get him going away from the fans and possibly take two games that they should win. They'd be 7-7 heading into week 16 with a home game against the Chargers. They'd be on a three game winning streak and hopefully the fans get behind Sanchez again. I've really got no problem with going back to him this week especially since it's been stated they're ready to give him the hook quickly if need be.

The Jets aren't destroying anyone. I'm taking Jacksonville to win that game.

Completely forgot that #BasedHenne now starts for the Jags.

This game has now become a tossup for me.

The schedule is what makes this bad timing; Anyone who goes in there will likely have a good day in Jacksonville. So seeing as how they WANT Sanchez to be their guy, no surprise they'd throw him in for this one. If it were Houston or Atlanta quite possible they'd throw McElroy out there.

But dare I say it; imagine if Sanchez craps the bed and Jacksonville wins?

Personally I believe Rex Ryan's stubborness may have cost him a playoff spot. Honestly. Or not. I mean, the Jets don't have the best team in the world but in a tight playoff race they could easily be 6-6 or 7-5 right now if they ditched Sanchez. Sorry, I have never "gotten" what there was to like about him. To watch those Jets games from the beginning of his career it was plain as day he was not the reason the Jets did well. He was not a dominating QB and rarely had a game where he was THE central figure in the victory.

Then they get Tebow who has his warts for sure, but there is one thing he has perhaps over any other QB in the NFL - raw effort. I don't know how Tebow did it last year with all of those 4th quarter rallies but he got the Broncos into the playoffs and then won a game against the Steelers in overtime on top of it in the postseason. I never thought what he did last year was a fluke because he did it so often and with such "clutchness" if that's even a word. He had the same issues last year that he has this year. He is NOT a great QB from a technical standpoint. He didn't stand out in practice and he didn't impress Ryan. So what? When he's on the field he doesn't impress a lot of people either but he has a way of winning and if the Jets were smart they'd have at least tried to see if he could continue this trend. The guy is Mr. Intangibles, and Sanchez isn't.

Greg McElroy is a terrible quarterback and should never be considered a candidate for an NFL starting job.

If Tim Tebow isn't starting for this team the very second he is healthy, then they are beyond inept.

The Bronco's miracle winning streak and 4th quarter rallies can be easily explained actually. A good 98% of it involving an easy schedule, an extremely excellent series of performances by that Defense, and Matt Prater.

Seriously. That kind of **** is unbelievable. I never buy the whole "oh this team just got lucky" stuff but that was beyond logic.

If we're talking about the quality of opponents, aside from beating the Steelers of course, so we're talking the regular season, the best team the Broncos beat last year was with Kyle Orton at QB.

Keep in mind that with everything on the line, the Broncos managed to lose 7-3 to the disaster known as the Chiefs, and had lost 3 in a row to end the regular season. They lost to the Bills in there, who was their only win in the second half of the season.

With that said, it's inexplicable why Tebow can't even get in the field. Even if he's a terrible QB, the Jets offense is so bad that he's still their best playmaker.

McElroy is a better quarterback than Tebow, he can at least get the ball down the field. With some grooming he could be a serviceable NFL starter, at the very least a decent backup.

I think he will be a good career backup, which is better than the other two options on their team right now.

Anybody think the Jets sign Braylon Edwards? Even though he had his comments about the Jets front office earlier in the week, he'd be a good signing with the WR core absolutely decimated. Sanchez is going to stay the starter and he has nobody to throw to so why not bring in one of the few guys he's had a connection with? Sanchez to Edwards was great late in 09 and 10. They can't go into next week with Kerley, Schilens, and Gates (if he's even healthy) as their top 3 WR if Hill is seriously hurt.

Edit - Looks like it's a possibility.

Rich Cimini ‏@RichCimini
A Jets-Braylon Edwards reunion? Possible. The Jets haven't ruled it out, per source. Edwards was waived today from Sea IR. #Jets

You think that Bowe could find himself on the Jets sometime during the off-season?

Prediction: Tebow starts/comes in week 17. Jets win. We have to hear about it all offseason.
