That is Angelo like failure
This draft was worse than any of Angelo's.

I think everyone can agree Tice won't cut it at OC.

Norv Turner will be out of a job at the end of the year and say what you will about Norv as a HC but he has always been a great OC and I for one would love him being brought in as the new OC for this team.

i wouldn't. his offense is too similar to martz' for my taste. leave those guys(martz, turner, cameron) in the past where they belong. besides sd's offense has been a mess the past couple years.

If the Bears beat the Packers, records are tied again. Who would hold the tie-breaker?

Time to blow it up. This team is done. Fire Lovie. The defense is too old and the offense blows.

If we lose 2 more games you'll get your wish. I'm a long time Lovie defender, but I'm starting to agree maybe its time to make a move. Lovie had a nice run with these players, but the defense is getting older and if you are going to rebuild in a new direction, now is the time to do it. Running a 3-4 you'd need to go find another outside linebacker (maybe Wooten could play opposite McClellin?) and play Briggs and Roach inside. Peppers and Melton would be your ends with Izzy backing up. Maybe a new head coach could bring in an OC that has a clue as to what he's doing.

When you are down 14 in the 4th quarter, you don't really have much choice.

On one hand, we still have enough talent on this team that with a couple of moves we could be in serious contention next year. On the other hand, there seem to be some fundamental issues. For example, I've never liked the offensive scheme this year. We have more talent than last season, but less production and we seem very vanilla and basic. The defense getting old is a concern of course too.

We just lost two very winnable games that would have us a virtual lock for the playoffs, and even if we go 2-1 the next 3 games, a playoff berth isn't a certainty. And right now, I'm thinking going 2-1 is very much a longshot.

Yes, but we were also down 14-0 in the first several minutes of the game. We had plenty of opportunities to close that gap.

I just wonder if Lovie is Doug Collins. He'll always have the Bears decent (7-8 wins) and occasionally they'll be good (10-13 wins), but he just isn't the guy to get you over the hump.

If the Bears were to fire Lovie they wouldn't hire an HC with previous HC experience. They'd get someone like Rick Dennison.

Please no. As a Ray Rice owner the last two years, I've watched a lot of Ravens games and can attest to why Cam was fired. You think the playcalling in Chicago is bad? How about having a lead in the last couple games in the 4th quarter and calling 3 straight pass plays with the horrible Joe Flacco instead of, I don't know, RUNNING the ball with the best player on your roster. He's done it over and over and it finally cost him.

If I'd want anyone as an OC, believe it or not it might be Norv Turner. Fact is though, I'm sure Tice is here as long as Lovie is, so I don't think we can consider OC only candidates. If Lovie gets fired after this season, the new HC will pick his OC and we will start this game all over again.

Hopefully Dallas keeps winning and they hold onto Garrett. If that ends up being the case, you have to make a move on Payton. One thing the Bears haven't been cheap about is Lovie's contract, so I see no reason we couldn't offer him a contract that makes him the highest paid coach in the NFL.

As for Lovie, enough is enough, we've been through this multiple times already. Just when everyone is getting fed up and the excuses run out, the team has a great year and saves him. Good on him for making it this far but it all comes down to this. We miss the playoffs and he has got to be done. Frankly, for me personally, I need 2 playoff wins to rationalize keeping him.

Ravens dismissed offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and replaced him with quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell

Very odd timing

Odd timing indeed, but he is so bad and clueless when it comes to calling plays. Great decision on managements part, he's really holding that offense back a good bit. Maybe the new guy will actually have a brain, and run the ball with Rice like they should.

Forte looked bad most of game yesterday

He had a big 36 yd run that made his stats look better

He was averaging about 3.9/4 ypc when you take out that run

heh, you guys are kidding yourself if you think that the Bears are going to come even remotely close to offering Sean Payton money for their next head coach (assuming we don't make the playoffs and the almost assured inevitability that Lovie gets fired as a result).

Payton's going to either stay in New Orleans or go to Dallas (and, imho, he'll use interest from Dallas to get more money out of the Saints to stay there). The money factor will also mean that the Bears won't be seriously looking into Reid (once he gets canned) or Cowher or Gruden (assuming that the latter two ever jump back in officially) or any of the other big names that'll likely come up this offseason. Except some random coordinator that we've never heard of or a recently canned head coach that nobody really cares about to get the gig.

But I do agree that, yet again, the offensive play calling was horrendous. How many times does this organization need to get smacked around before they permanently remember to aim for a more balance run/pass game?
