If he performs well, we intend to re-sign him for another couple of seasons at a fair salary. And we don't think the playoffs are a couple of seasons away - we have some holes to fill, but we think we have the right blend of veteran leadership, youth, and elite skill to make us a competitive team.

I'm just unhappy because I was sure he wouldn't waive to go to Anaheim do I didn't make an offer!

I figured given that I was already the only offer there, and he said in his post that signing was pending, I just assumed it was good and went with it

Like I said before, I'm also down for another game before Christmas.

The only downside is that we might need to take a small break during the game before the draft/free agency for the 24th and 25th.
