Either our 3rd line or on another team for a player that was a better fit for us. Personally I'd like to see him spend the rest of the year on the Hartikainen/Lander line and then have all 3 come up together as a line when the NHL resumes.

Hall-RNH-Eberle
Yakupov-Gagner/Other-Hemsky
Eager/Smyth-Belanger/Other-Jones/Eager
Paajarvi-Lander-Hartikainen
Hordichuk

Horcoff bought out, Jones possibly gone due to UFA, Petrell possibly gone due to UFA.

Perhaps it is harsh since the last three first rounders have been no-brainers. The 2013 pick will be a true test since Paajarvi and Klefbom.

If Klefbom is another bust like Paajarvi, Pitlick, Lander, Hamilton and possibly Marincin then Stu is gone.

How in the blue hell can you be considering Marincin as a bust this early? Yes he has his fair share of brain farts but this is his rookie pro season and he has 2 3/4's seasons to work on his game. Of the listed guys only Paajarvi will have to have a decision made on him in the next year (assuming that we are seeing the NHL return by then). Pitlick and Hamilton also have 2 3/4's seasons to right their games and Lander has 1 3/4's seasons.

Its too early to call those guys busts.
Marincin especially, guy has looked really good for a rookie d man.

IMO he has shown a lot of good tools for a rookie d-man, but he has made many, many glaring mistakes as well. He has a lot of work to do before he's considered ready for the next level IMO. When the lockout ends I'd like to see him paired with Teubert and see how they compliment each others games.

Pretty good especially on getting to loose pucks. Dished out a few hits as well, tried to create some offense off the rush but lost the puck a few times. Overall not too shabby considering how long he was out. Green IMO had a rough night but he's been gone damn near 20 games.

You are writing players off waaaaay too early. None of those listed players are busts, hell most of them are in their second year of pro... Give them some time.

Even when he doesn't put up points, Paajarvi has shown he can play on a line with skill and not look out of place. He's a tremendous skater, has good size, and is defensively responsible. jHe can also play both wings (I actually think he looks better at RW). That kind of versatility could make him a fit on a checking line, but also as a complimentary player on a skill line with more offense-first types.

As I just posted in our game thread from today's loss to the powerful and mighty Rampage...(insert fire Nelson here)... I have serious concerns about Paajarvi and his finishing ability.

I once heard an interview with Dubnyk (? last year) where they asked him which player had the heaviest shot and he mentioned Paajarvi which surprised me. My issue is that everyone is asking him to crash the net and drive the net, yet the real issue here is his hands and his shot.
Today he drove to the centre of the ice on a nice play displaying unusual patience and then snapped a shot directly into the middle of the goalie from less than 20 feet. What the heck is he thinking here?
He should spend sometime watching and talking to Eberle and Schultz. Both of those players get within 20 feet and they are looking for an opening to shoot at.

Projection: At best, a third liner with PK skills. Point total 30. He doesn't have the vision or finish to play on the second line.

MPS will probably be in Europe in 5 years. I can't see this team trading him, we're really horrible at moving assets before it's too late. They'll just sit on him in the AHL, bring him up to the NHL once a year to fall flat on his face offensively, and then finally he'll get bored and go back to Europe.

I see him as another Freddy Sjostrom. Maybe similar to a Pisani type as some have mentioned. Fast, effective, non-physical and good on the PK. Depth third/fourth line winger.

I see him and Sam Gagner collecting golf balls out of the lake at Millwoods Golf Course and selling them beside the 9th tee box.

Horcoff will be selling hot dogs behind the 10th tee box.

Krueger will be driving the beer cart.

Jack Michaels will be picking up cigarette butts around the clubhouse.

I don't see MPS ever accomplishing either of those things.

Interesting to see you all sarcastic about MPS now. Too much to expect you to admit how wrong you were about this player? I guess so.

Within other NHL team

He will be traded when we will make play offs for some veteran help. Might be traded this year along Omark and Lander for thrid line center with size.

Three crowns (Tre Kronor) are done with oilers

in 5 years, Magnus is either a 3rd liner here or on another team.

Still like the Dvorak comparison. Guy that best fits on your 3rd line, but is a decent enough guy to play some games on the 2nd line.

I don't see Lander being moved anytime soon. What kind value does he have anyway? Very little would be my guess.

i would play him eventually on the 3rd line once they figure out what they want to do with Ryan Jones. i'd also give him some power play time.
