I can't even begin to express how excited I am at the prospect of playing OKC 4 out of the next 5 games with a dash of Houston thrown in.

What a brutal schedule.

Might as well get this started. So there's a chance next season's roster for the Rampage will look like the future of the Panthers, Gudbranson, Markstrom, Petrovic, Huberdeau, Bjugstad(he will most likely leave college early), Shore, Knight, Megan, Howden and a few others. I wonder what the lines will look like and the defense pairings?

I hope these games will be streamed. I enjoyed watching these last two games. Seeing a blast from the pass in Sim will be a trip. I liked him when he played with us. Remember his tricker?

On paper that roster looks promising. I admit that I didn't think the league & union would be foolish enough to have another lockout this season. Even though I was wrong, I still can't imagine this carrying over to next season. But if it did, Rampage hockey would sure look fun!

Yeah uh, I think all the gloom and doom about Markstrom was a bit premature. His last 5 games:

4-0-1
.953 SV%

And the Rampage were outshot 173-118

Because of that veteran rule.

Gutsy win by the Rampage tonight. Battled back all night and scored the winning goal with 20 seconds left. Nice work!

Covering the game from the pressbox. Less play by play, more observational stuff tonight.

Gudbranson, Huberdeau, and either Shore or Bjugstad will be playing for the Panthers. IMO of course.

The Rampage are on a serious rampage right now, which is great to see. Timmins, Shore, Rheault, Howden, and Rallo are really getting it done. Wellman definitely stepped up his game after getting benched. Markstrom is playing like a beast now, I apologize for being a little too critical of him early in the season.
I love the signings of Sim and Mottau by Santos, they are a couple of really good pickups. I've always been a fan of Jon Sim, he's such a tenacious player.

Four wins in a row! Go Rampage!!!!!!!

Yes I agree. What I was reffering to was if the lockout continues into next season.

I noticed Petrovic didn't suit up on Sunday's game. Hurt or just a healthy scratch?

With the Mottau signing I'm guessing healthy scratch?

Oh OK, If that is the case (and lets hope not) then the Rampage will be stocked with some serious young talent next year. I also hope McFarland can figure his ***** out as well, I would hate to see his talent go to waste. Didn't he score a hat-trick in his first game since being demoted to Cincy?

Scratched for De Santis who sat the past 2, I believe. From the broadcasters perspective, it was "surprising"... Maybe trying to spark a fire

Thoughts from the weekend:

-My god, Markstrom is a beast. Kid is so good it's almost unfair.

-Petro was a healthy scratch. I asked Dan Weiss if he was hurt Saturday and he gave me a sly smile and said, "Maybe his ego"

-Strachan left midway throught the first. According to Weber, he will "go in for pictures today and we will see. Hopefully, he's not out too long"

-Wellman took that benching personal, IMO and he has come back a totally different player. Playing aggressive and decisive. Best passer on the team right now.

-Mottau will be a difference maker on this team if they keep him around all season. Guy is smooth and cool in his own end and fantastic on the PP.

-With Strachan and Deveaux hurt, the Rampage won't have to sit a vet, for now. Unless Deveaux isn't really hurt, which is possible. Then he sits.

Finally, I'm looking for some feedback with regards to the games I cover (sundays, weeknights). If you read, please let me know what you like, what you don't like, what you'd like to see more/less of, etc. Be honest.

Here were the vets going into the weekend.

Sim
Mottau
Yonkman
Jacques
Rallo
Deveaux

vet exempt (more than 260 but less than 320)
Strachan
Caruso

-Strachan and Caruso have been the best defensemen on the roster all season. They aren't sitting.
-Yonkman is the team captain and has absolutely shut down and frustrated Taylor Hall. He's not sitting.
-They wanted to get Sim and Mottau in the games right away.

That leaves Rallo, Deveaux, and Jacques. Two of which must sit. Rallo has been on fire lately and it continued over the weekend. He has now scored a goal in 6 of his last 7 games.

I hate to see a healthy Jacques sit jsut as much as anyone, but he and Deveaux are the most logical choices at this point.
