Hey, 9am is pretty good! 4am for the rest of us Canadians.
I'm debating going to bed a couple of hours earlier and just getting up for work at 4 instead of 6 to watch some of the games. Problem is, I'd have to leave before they ended, so I might as well just wait and watch em on the PVR later.
You work on the day after Christmas? Damn, that bites.
I'll likely drink a pot of coffee, stay up all night and catch the game, then crash.

But aren't you in England? If so, I guess it would play at around 9 or 10. So you'd be right.
I am until sunday. But coming home for Christmas... which explains the girlfriend comment We are separated by the Pond, so I hope you'd understand a hockey game is low priority by comparison.
Although I might be able to enjoy the finals, as I'm going back here early January.

Actually I don't think I am working the 26th (that's TBD officially but it doesn't look like it).
But I was more referring to all the other games.

I'm too lazy to check but TSN (and I'm sure RDS) will definitely be replaying the games on primetime later that day. It would be completely brainless for them not to.

Okay.
Can we do something weird? Have 2 threads for each games. One for the original broadcast, and one for the primetime replay.
That way, people who carefuly did their best to avoid spoiling the outcome can come and share...?

Interesting idea, I hadn't really thought about the gametime logistics in terms of GDTs. Unless any of the other mods disagree, I think it might be worth a shot.
We could open the 4am GDT at gametime and have it open all day for people who are watching live, or who don't mind spoiling themselves, who want to talk about the game...and then a 7pm (or whenever it'll be replayed) GDT for those who avoided spoilers (and everyone else of course, provided no one spoils anything).

If we do try that, can we, for goodness sake, not have a PGT with the result in the threat title?!

The off-season/lockout has been so slow that the mods haven't gotten much work out of the banhammers. Could be a good time to shake off some of the rust

Especially since it's quite unlikely there'll be NHL hockey on, there's no doubt they'll re-show them.

Hudon on team white first line with Strome and Ritchie
Nice... except Team Red's first line is Huberdeau-RNH-Schiefele. First pairing for Team Red is Rielly-Hamilton while for Team White it is Harrington-Ouellet. Well, I hope Hudon has a good showing.
I know Max Domi wasn't invited to the WJHC team tryouts but it causes serious dreams about how a line with MacKinnon-Drouin-Domi would have looked playing internationally together.MacKinnon and Domi sure clicked last summer for the Ivan Hlinka Tournament adding Drouin to that mix wow is all I can imagine.Somewhat similar to the Matt Duchene-Louis Leblanc-Taylor Hall line at the Ivan Hlinka Tournament a few summers back when Leblanc outplayed his linemates.
