(Looks like many Belarussian fans are voting, because Joe Pavelski is also currently 9th among Western forwards, and Niskala 5th among defencemen.)
It's pretty much the same as in the NHL. Homerish fans are voting all day long. Look at the east. Omsk seems to have a lot of ppl with a lot of time on their hands.

Chara will be voted a starter anyway. As for the others I think the press and the league will make it happen. They need the show too. Speaking of the west I wouldn't know whom clearly to vote besides Chara...

The one thing I'd want to see is the pond hockey like choice of teams like the NHL did this year. And Datsyuk as one of the captains. Would be a great moment for Datsyuk to return the favor...

Yeah, I hate that crap. For me, it's fun just to select once and that's it. I don't really care whether my candidates make it or not, and it'd be fun to just see what the majority thinks. I know that's a pipe dream, and there's no way you can make it one vote per person, though.

You can vote countless times per hour even using the same browser, as long as you clear the browser cache after each vote (which in some browsers is just the press of a button). Looks like there are fans fanatical enough to be doing this.

It would be cool to see Backstrom make it. It would be his first all star game.

I'm not sure if all the Anisin votes are from Dynamo fans or from anti-fans who want to jeer at Dynamo. Currently 7th among forwards in the West, this makes no sense.

It's the typical fan voting. It doesn't represent anything in the right proportions. Look an the Minsk and Omsk players numbers. I love my team too, but I still try to vote players who deserve it. A lot of ppl just vote a hundred times for only players from their team. I bet Hedman will be voted by the media or the league anyway.

4th now, thankfully. This voting is a joke, just like it was in the NHL last time. What are Rinne and Bryzgalov doing among Top 3 goaltenders in the West? Let this voting travesty be over soon...

PS: I at least hope actual fanatics need to personally submit those skewed votes manually every time, instead of a computer script doing this.

Can someone tell me the date that this game takes place? I thought it would be easier to find out than this.
