The .5 is when there was a big snow storm that knocked out power half way through the day, so we got sent home. Also, the 1 was when I was in pre-school.

They must call snow day so easily there

People call them snow days, but really they are freezing rain days. Basically whenever the roads are deemed too hazardous for the buses to run, which is usually because of freezing rain. I honestly cannot remember the last time I had a snow day due to snow.

I remember back in Grade 12, it was two weeks before Christmas break. There were snow days Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. And then the next week there were snow days Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday again. And then we had the two week Christmas break.

So I had 4 days of school in 4 weeks. Good times.

In your entire life? How old are you? It doesn't even snow that hard down here and I've had a billion snow days.

We prairie people just won't let snow get in our way unless it is like 4 feet deep, which is what the pile of snow on the lawn was after shoveling the driveway

I'd probably end my own life if I didn't have at least one snow day per year. The break from the monotony of school is nice.

Half of my grade skipped school today because they are too dumb to realize that my school doesn't have "snow days".

One particularly Wednesday, my schools boiler exploded and we had to evacuate. Nice 5 day weekend that was.

Yes. We have a math quiz tomorrow and half of my class doesn't know. Our English teacher also wasn't there today, so presentations are pushed back a day. Again, half the class doesn't know.
