Whether it's smart to hold out or not it's the NHLPA negotiating committee's call whether to put it to a vote.

As soon as it goes to a vote, it'll go through I think. Why do they have to do it though?

I disagree. Almost all players seem to support this.
They are a very tight knit group.

I disagree with your disagreement. A lot of players will take tons of flak for saying something against the PA. They made a lesson of hamrlik so they are scared to speak up.

yes i'm sure the players who are making 500k a season, who will never see even remotely half of the money they just lost because of the lost paycheques are just thrilled that they are holding out on cba length, and contract lengths.

come back to me when the nhlpa actually proves that they all agree with it, and funny enough only way to prove that is by vote. but we won't see that because the hardliners are saying no.

Based on anything in reality or the random twitter comment earlier today from Westgarth? Who also had no clue how make whole works oddly enough, but only knew that the owners "aren't negotiating in good faith".

Public statements from players who are not in the upper echelon salary wise.

I think you meant almost all vocal players( no more than 30-50?) seem to support this. With the way they bully others' opinion, you might get this idea. Now, a confidential voting would be quite interesting.

Let me throw it back at you. Aside from Hamrlik who has come out against it? You guys are grasoing at straws, IMO.

It's a way to make it appear like you are trying to move things forward without actually moving them forward. Dragging the clock out until mid-late Jan.

oh so darche, hainsey, campoli? those 3? basically the only ones who have spoke up, and if i remember correctly darche and campoli don't even have contracts. so in my opinion they should not even count towards anything.

Same thing for de-certifying. Just stall tactics. It's not a legit thing to move forward.

Hainsey has a cap hit of 4.5M. Not exactly part of the lower pay grade.

Capoli and Darche will probably never get another NHL contract and therefore they dont count. They are probably just trying to keep their NHLPA health benefits as long as possible.

In what way was Hamrlik made an example of? Was he fined? Punished in some way? Nope.

The funny thing is Cole would probably hurt himself trying to get at Hamrlik, and if he did make it, Hammer would probably kill him. And I would hope he does.
