I can't believe people still think Prince has been bad. Guy had one bad play all game yesterday. QBs have way below average stats when they try to throw at him. He's one of the most promising young players in the game. Webster has been absolutely awful, though, and without KP we don't have any other real good players in the secondary.

Rolle has been amazing at nickel corner, and Steve Brown has been a great ballhawk, although not a high percentage safety.

I've been happier with those guys than our D line and linebackers all year.

Just in: Brandon Jacobs has been released by the 49ers.

Serious question: should the Giants consider him especially with Bradshaw now having a left knee problem?

EDIT: NM. I'm seeing sources say that the 49ers suspended Jacobs.

I've been watching Prince very closely, he seems lost on a lot of plays to me. There are times where it looks like he's expecting help over the top but it never comes. And (this must be a coaching thing) but the kid gives all receivers about 8 yards of space off the snap, too much space.

He has, however, impressed me with his tackling. He's good at going for guys legs and slowing them down or grabbing them to the point where they have to go down. I still think his coverage is below average. Will try to continue to keep a close eye on him, and stay objective.

Brown has been good but he doesn't have nearly the impact KP does. I don't think its a coincidence our best played game of the last month and a half came when KP was playing. He's so good at what he does that he let's everybody else play more naturally- Antrel is great when KP is playing safety, not so great when he's not. Brown has been awesome and has had a massive impact on a lot of games, so its hard for me to belittle the awesome stuff he's done, but I feel his play-to-play influence isn't nearly as much as KP. Also, I agree, our line has been really meh. Tuck has sadly been a non-factor, Osi bleeds yards against the run, and JPP is left to do most of the work by himself and can't consistently against double teams and all the holding he has to fight through.

The cushion Prince gives is the coaching, which I blame on Fewell being worried about the kid. We have Prince playing soft and Corey playing bump and run, when the reality is they should be the opposite.

Even if he was released, I'd never take him back. He's shot.

Anybody think the Jets bring back Braylon Edwards?

Agreed. Osi, JPP, and Tuck have only 15.5 sacks combined this season. Not the production you want to see from 3 pro bowlers.

How do you know? He doesn't get any playing time out there.

Brown is done for the season, Bradshaw keeps getting banged up, Wilson is a rookie. If it were possible, I'd have him here in a heartbeat.

Tiptoes Jacobs? Of course he's done. Did you not watch him play last year? The guy has completely abandoned what made him effective and tries to imitate LT out there.

No, however they should. They would've done it this offseason, although it wouldn't cost much and him and Sanchez actually had good chemistry. Now his knees are shot so I doubt he'd produce much but it could give Sanchez some confidence, which could use any form of improvement possible.

Supposedly they tried trading for him before the deadline so it seems like they were interested. I wonder how much the idiot comments from earlier in the week impact their decision.

And I just saw this, seems like it's still a possibility. To me it's a no brainer. Him and Sanchez had great chemistry especially in 2010 and our WR core is laughably bad right now. The top 3 is Kerley, Schilens, and Gates.

A Jets-Braylon Edwards reunion? Possible. The Jets haven't ruled it out, per source. Edwards was waived today from Sea IR. #Jets

https://twitter.com/RichCimini/statu...98395200872448

Edit - Now Schefter is reporting it's a possibility....

Quote:
The Seattle Seahawks waived wide receiver Braylon Edwards from injured reserve, clearing the way for him to possibly return to the New York Jets, according to league sources.

Even though Edwards criticized New York's organization last week, multiple league sources said the Jets will consider bringing back their former wide receiver, either by claiming him on waivers or signing him if he clears them.

Supposed to be a great game tonight, however, I have a feeling the Pats are going to take a dump on Houston.

Yeah I agree with you, it's worth a shot. I don't understand why they didn't sign him then originally instead of trying to trade for him midseason. Edwards went into most of camp without being signed. Then again nothing this front office does makes any sense.

He had some good chemistry with Sanchez as well. Better than what Holmes has. He can blow the top off the defense too if healthy. He's better than what they have outside of Keller, who they need healthy right now.

Hill also just has an LCL sprain, which looks like nothing compared to what we thought might have happened. Possibly can play this week. Also might stop the Edwards to the Jets rumors if he is good to go for Sunday.

Even if Hill can play I say bring Edwards in. They need all the options they can get on offense. Realistically will it help much? No probably not, but it's worth trying. Edwards could even mentor Hill as he was a similar WR at one time. Might not help with the drops(Edwards was always bad with drops) but progress is progress.

I think it would be awesome if Jacobs played more like Lawrence Taylor.

Bring Edwards in so we don't have to watch Marty Gilyard catch the ball and not get first downs like yesterday.
