Nobody is turning on him.

The organization has already been secretive about his concussion issues. Missing this much time for "the flu" makes no sense.

That is their story. The flu. Not tooth extraction. The flu.

Fair enough, point's still the same, though.

Do Mika's health troubles affect the way the Senators might approach the 2013 draft?

In what way? Even if we were to hypothetically remove Mika from the conversation entirely, forward prospects would still be the strength of the prospect pool (and goaltending, of course).

Where did they say he had the flu? Pierre Dorion was on the Team on the weekend talking about Mika having his wisdom teeth taken out...

It doesn't make sense.
I hope you do know that the flu is highly contagious so maybe its a precautionary reason (if he does have the flu) to stay away from the team and staff.

Zib was at the team's Christmas party so whatever is wrong it isn't contagious.

I did read he had the flu, however I also read and heard he had to have his wisdom teeth extracted.

If the extractions were necessary because of headaches, then possibily it takes more time to see positive results.

I am sure the Sens would err on the side of caution.

Players do not miss multiple games with the flu. Do you not remember the game against the Leafs where the entire team was puking and crapping every 2 minutes?

While the overall situation does seem odd, your referencing a completly different situation. A can miss one or multiple games with the flu, but when the whole team comes down with a flu, and there is no time for call-ups, it's a play or forfeit the game scenario. These two situations are incomparable.

'Flu' is a very vague thing too. The 'flu' could be a various number of things.

Zibanejad himself said he had a throat infection.

Maybe Mika is really Santa Clause and needs a cover while he prepares.

Interesting. He left Djurgården December 12th last year and didn't return until after New Year's.

Is this really what the lockout has brought us to? Taunts, hyperbole and roundabout silliness? My how the mighty have fallen. Goodnight, sweet (Shane) prince.

He should give the Sens a present and stop being a giant bust.

Agreed..if he had the flu or whatever concussion or teeth pulled or infections..he did attend the BSens Christmas party last night w/ pic I posted w/ the team in the Bingo thread..if he had any of those symptoms, I would think he would be away from the rest of the guys and be home resting..I mean, afterall, he's not even skating but good enough to attend a party?

Rumor has it his agent has kept him off the ice over this Swedish boycott of the World Juniors
