I guess Canada will have Matt Duchene too, as he is set to sign with Ambri.

As for now following lockout players are confirmed to play at Spengler Cup

HC Davos
Loui Eriksson

Patrick Kane
Rafael Diaz
Damien Brunner (although he hasn't played a single NHL game I think he should be listed)

Fribourg Gottéron
David Deshairnais
Maxime Talbot

Adler Mannheim
Jason Pominville
Dennis Seidenberg
Marcel Goc

HC Vitkovice Steel
Roman Polak
Filip Kuba

UFA
-

Team Canada
Tyler Seguin
Patrice Bergeron

Jared Spurgeon
Logan Couter(well, he returned to North America but I don't know if he's coming anyway. Probably isn't.)

This will mark the first year that I've ever watched the entire Spengler Cup (hopefully).

Should be a great tournament.

Will Canada take the players playing in other leagues as well? I'd like to see the Canadian's playing in Germany go as well.

Well, there have always been "foreign" players but I guess they were mostly from the AHL. Apparently there are 38 Canadian players in NLA (wow impressive I didn't know that). But there is always a chance for other players, we'll see. I guess rosters from 2010 and 2011 are up on Hockey Canada's webpage.

Isn't it just for players playing on Swiss teams? Either way this will probably be the best team Canada will ever bring to this tournament. Tavares, Spezza, Bergeron, Del Zotto, Laich, Seguin lol wow

They definitely play them all. I usually don't watch it but I can prove it because I did watch one game last year, a round-robin game against HK Vitkovice. TSN interviewed Nathan Walker.

From the schedule, it looks like they'll broadcast ALL games, not just Canada's group ones.

Hmm..looks like only the Canadian ones have the network and time. Maybe they are still figuring out the television schedule and whether or not it will be live or on tape delay. Usually they only broadcast Canada's games.

Wow. I thought I would never say this but I am pumped to watch the Spengler Cup. Davos is looking pretty solid as well. Can't believe Thornton is going to be suiting up for Davos against Canada..just doesn't seem right.

Since usually the other teams get some backing from Swiss teams too, we might even see some other lockout players.

Well this is going to be nothing else than the best beset Spengler Cup ever

What a fantastic tournament to attend. What a great time to be in Switzerland.

Must be people here that are going. How many games, what are the ticket prices? Are you attending all the games? What team are you cheering for. Are there any other events held around the games?

I think there are only two games who aren't sold out yet.
Not really, but most people will go skiing anyway and catch the games in the afternoon and evening.. I tink you can go and practice with the teams on the outdoor rink. But besides that, there isn't much to do and see. For the canadian players, it's sort of a christmas holiday. They book a hotel and take their wives, girlfiends, children etc. with them. Since they have to play every second day, they'll go sledging, play some hockey with the kids and stuff like that on the free day. It's always a really cool atmosphere in Davos.

Tickets are somehow expensive. 100 Francs (a bit more than 100 $) per day but you get to see two games.

Del Zotto is injured so I guess he won't be playing.
