im the opposite I want my hear short and it'll grow out so quick
Hair grows on average 1/2 inch a month. My hair is in the short-medium stage right now. It's longer than short hair, but not long yet. I'm hoping it'll finally get to where I want it to be by February.
This is like a typical "the ends justify the means" kind of thing. Suffer through this and think about what your hair will look like when it's all done and get really anxious and pissed that you're not there yet, but at the end of the day, once it's done, I'll be very happy. Just gotta wait it out.

Aren't you always saying that you're so small and scrawny? Maybe keep some more blood in you
I'm your typical tall and lanky kid. I have no aversions to needles and I have excellent blood "stats" if you will. My local bank wants me to keep coming back.

Same here. It looks STUPID so i wear hats all the time.
I'm aiming for this kind of length. How long is that? I find it very hard to judge the length of hair.
Shout out to my boy Patty Kane
Judging by the length of your hair now and the type of hair you have, you should be able to get there in around 1.5 to 2 months. If this is the first time that you've grown it out this long, it will put up a fight. After about a cut and a half worth of time, it should be good.

I HATE growing my hair. I keep it extremely short now and get a fresh cut every 2 weeks, sometimes less. Thank god my woman's little bro is a barber! Back in high school I let it go from a typical buzz cut to have the sick flow for hockey and lacrosse. Eventually got it to my shoulders and wore it in a kind of hippy/surf loose bun for a minute, but pretty quickly cut it back to a more typical lax-flow length.
Loved HAVING long hair when I had it, but growing it that first time sucked. Just like Cally's Parm, I stuck with the 'ends justify the means' attitude and, in the end, I'd say it was worth it. Girls loved me with long hair. Lax playoffs my junior year I went home after practice with hair to my chin and came to school the next morning with a short mohawk (like 60% of the team did it, but I didn't tell anyone I was gonna cut mine). Loved the reactions from everyone; teacher, friend, parent. I love making radical changes like that.
Anyhoot, I haven't been able to even let my hair get long enough to touch my eyebrows since that first haircut. Growing it out is literally the worst and I will probably never have hair longer than an inch or two ever again, ever. Ever.
For reference:
Longest hair I ever had looked like:
Peak flow, however, was more like:
And my hair ever since stays like this when the cut is fresh:
I also have been told I look like both Jason Pominville and Jim Morrison but, sadly, never Matthew McConaughey
^Very long hair. Don't want it that long haha. But if you can rock that hair, all the power to ya, that's awesome. I just want some of that Patty Kane hair like above, better not take more than another 2-3 months, or I'm gonna hurt someone.
I had hair up to my shoulders when I was like 5. I would love to grow it again, but the stage when your hair isn't short but also not long looks terrible.
MPF I'm assuming you had layers, no? In the picture above of Patty, does he have layers?
You always want layers Jamy. Almost always. Layerless hair is difficult and for ppl with coarser hair, it can take away from that look you're going for.

I agree for the most part but, honestly, Kaner's hair in that picture isn't really long enough to make them a necessity and it looks like he has incredibly thin hair, which makes them even less necessary (as you alluded to re: coarser hair). I don't know what Cally's Parm looks like, but if you have thicker hair, you usually need layers. I have crazy thick hair and my layers had layers back then. My hair also grows faster than the standardly accepted average. In general, my hair is a pain in the arse, which is why I keep it super short now and cut it like every 10-14 days. Seriously, I would have a little flow (maybe a bit shorter than Hagelin's) right now if I didn't hate my hair and the process of growing it so much.
Having long hair is obnoxious when it's windy or hot out, so basically 3/4 of the year, so most of the time I just keep my glorious flow in a ponytail.
I was told that I do not look like Jason Pominville.
We can't all look like dweebs. I never really thought the Jason Pominville comment was very complimentary, but I liked it because I like him as a player. Not sure he's exactly someone I'd say I'd wish on a star to look like though...
