I've seen a few Luleć games this season (not live). Gunnarsson has made marked improvements since the beginning of the season, and he's getting the ice time to show for it. While not a very physical player, he is very good a passing up the ice and joining the rush and can play the point well. At the beginning of the season he made a lot of defensive gaffs that left him out of position, but that has certainly improved.
Luleć plays a very conservative defensive game, and I think that he could contribute quite a bit more offensively if given the chance. I think that he will easily adapt to the North American game, but learning to be more physical will be the difference between usefulness and mediocrity.

After a good start to the season, Colton Jobke has been out for the last month. He gets to be a forgotten prospect around here.

Anyways, News story on injury.

2 more weeks in a splint and will then start rehabbing.

He is an overager who was signed as a free agent rather than a draft pick. That said, nearly point per game is still good for any defenseman. He's also third on his team in points per game, being led only by potential 2013 first round forward Morgan Klimchuk and some overager forward I've never heard of.

I still consider him a prospect because of his age and path of development. Should also be noted the Regina Pats are one of the worst in the Dub.

Found out why Michalek left Harvard for the year.

inappropriately collaborating on the class’ final exam, which was take home.
Who would've thought that'd happen on a take home final?

Is Zucker ahead of Coyle, now? Haven't seen any games but Zucker looks a lot better statistically.

I like both but Coyle's game should translate better to the NHL. If Zucker can translate what he is doing in the AHL he will be a steal.

Zucker has been everything I had hoped Setoguchi would be on the Wild...Fast, shoots everything, crashes the net and isn't shy of the physical game.

He's one of those tricky prospects that scores in college, scores at the AHL level but is a complete crapshoot to whether or not he can score in the NHL and will be seen. He could be anywhere from a Casey Wellman, to a Devin Setoguchi, to a Mike Camalleri..

If I had to predict I'd say he is a career top 9 player in the NHL with 5+ 20 goal seasons and 1 maybe 2 over 25 goals.

Coyle is beast and a lot of people think he would be on the Wild today if there was no lockout. I can't wait to see who ends up making the team out of the Coyle, Larsson, Zucker trio if this lockout ever neds..all 3 are some top notch NHL prospects and have impressed in the AHL this season in their own ways and will be huge parts of this teams future for the long haul.

I was very high on Michalek when we drafted him and kind of soured on him. I don't know if he'll make it.

And another shrewd pick by Minnesota with Lucia. And another player that dropped far and Minnesota scooped him up. This scouting staff is awesome. Didn't SoH hate this pick and the trade to grab Lucia?

I like that Zucker-Cammalleri comparison. Very apt. Undersized but speedy wingers who drive the net and have high end (maybe elite) wrist shots.

Zucker is a better prospect than everyone not named Granlund and Brodin.

Cammalleri's one of my top five or so favorite players in the league, so I'd love to have a version of him on the Wild.

Not only do they play the same style game..Its a very very similar story..

Both 2nd round picks: Cammalleri 49th overall/Zucker 59th overall.

Both dominated college hockey.

Cammalleri 3 years at Michigan

13-13-26
29-32-61
23-20-43

Zucker 2 years at Denver
23-22-45
22-24-46

Both were WJC stars..

Cammalleri 2 years winning 2 silvers with Canada
14 GP 11goals 6 assists 17points

Zucker 3 years with USA, won gold, bronze medals
14GP 5 goals 8 assists 13 points

Cammalleri first year AHL numbers:
13GP 5 goals 15 assists 20 points

Zucker first year AHL numbers:
18GP 12 goals 8 assists 20 points

Cammalleri has slightly outperformed him at every level but if Zucker can continue developing and mirror Cammalleri I think all of us would be more than pleased
