Let's get into a car with a drunk driver! Let's not call anyone to pick us up! That sounds like a very smart idea. Hell, when I was in college at least the frat boys used to use me to drive them when they got drunk.

As Obi-Wan said, "Who's the more foolish? The fool or the fool who follows him."

Regardless, the passanger killed in this case is not the one who committed the crime rather is the victim of a crime. As human beings we can only do so much from preventing outselves from danger and at times it is factors beyond the control of an individual that leads to the death of that same individual.

Also, there is an old saying, when its your time, it's your time. Even if Jerry Brown didn't get in that car, something or someone else could have taken his life at the point in time, maybe Brett running Jerry Brown over for that matter. Maybe he could have died of alochol posioning.

Could this have happened to a better guy around the Christmas holiday? Joey Porter is still sitting in jail this morning on felony bad check writing charges, according to the Kern County Sheriff (California) Department booking site.
Nice job loser.

Not an arrest but this seems as good a place for this as any:

Chad Johnson reportedly contacts FBI regarding leaked sex tape

Quote:
Chad Johnson has contacted the FBI regarding a leaked sex tape that features the former NFL wide receiver, according to TMZ.com.

Johnson has reportedly asked the FBI to hunt down the person that leaked the video, and asked his lawyer to put together a cease-and-desist letter to remove the footage from the internet.

Segments of the tape hit the web on Tuesday, when Johnson admitted to TMZ that it was him in the video. He reportedly insisted that he did not want the footage, which he says was shot about three years ago, to go public and is “furious” about its release.

The charismatic former wide receiver, whose career 766 receptions and 11,059 receiving yards are 30th and 28th all-time, respectively, has continued to make headlines despite not playing a down in the NFL this season. He was cut by the Miami Dolphins during training camp following an arrest.

TUCSON -- Charges against University of Arizona running back Ka’Deem Carey stemming from a December domestic-violence incident involving his pregnant ex-girlfriend will be filed this week, Tucson police said.

Officers responded to a domestic-violence situation at a residence in the 2000 block of East Copper Street on the afternoon of Dec. 23 involving Carey and a woman, said Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson police spokesman.

Carey, 20, was gone when police arrived but returned a short time later and spoke with the officers, Widmer said.

Both Carey and the woman “showed injuries consistent with some type of physical altercation,” Widmer said.
Quote:
The charges will be released at that hearing, Widmer said.

An order of protection was requested by the woman against Carey on Dec. 26. Carey was served with the order Jan. 2.

In the petition for the order of protection, the 23-year-old woman wrote that he came into a room looking for a lighter to smoke an illegal substance.

She wrote that she asked Carey to leave several times, and he pushed and shoved his way into the room and knocked her to the floor and slammed her fingers in the door.

The woman is pregnant with Carey’s child. The Star is not naming the woman because she is not being charged.

The Raiders ultimately didn’t cut linebacker Rolando McClain during the 2012 season. That could be changing in 2013.

McClain was arrested in Alabama on Tuesday, according to WHNT-TV. After being pulled over for a window-tint violation, McClain gave the arresting officer a false name.

how much is a fine for a overly dark tint? $100? Now it could escalate to something bigger?

Definitely idiot.

Steelers RB Chris Rainey was arrested for slapping his girlfriend. Steelers cut him this morning.

He was great in training camp and alright last year.

Steelers have a notorious double standard for guys and legal issues and he had problems going into the draft.

Steelers used to be a respectable organization in that capacity.

In recent years, their inconsistency renders them hypocrites. What Alameda Ta'amu did was FAR worse... he was just given an unpaid 2 week's vacation.

According to the police in Decatur, Alabama, an officer saw a car being driven with a driver’s side window tinted so dark that the officer couldn’t see anyone inside at all, and so the officer pulled the car over. That car was driven by McClain, and when the officer approached the car, McClain rolled the window down all the way and refused to let the officer inspect the window. Asked for his driver’s license and proof of insurance, McClain said only, “You know who I am.”

The officer told McClain that he needed to inspect the window, but McClain refused to allow the inspection, saying that his doctor had diagnosed him with sensitivity to light and that he was therefore exempt from the tinted-window laws. Eventually, after the officer called a police supervisor to the scene, McClain allowed his window to be inspected and was given a citation for his window being too dark.

At that point, McClain was asked to sign the citation, and he wrote in the space for the signature, “F–k y’all.”

Ehh. I am fine with the double standard. If you're a fringe guy you better stay clean. I agree the Ta'amu one was odd but he did actually get cut and put on the practice squad so he took a financial hit.

I liked Rainey as a player though.

What a dumb ass.

He should have just forced himself on her in the bathroom at a bar.

Or just said that slapping his girlfriend was simply a misunderstanding

Even if you forget it's there I don't see how putting a gun in a suitcase is ever a good idea.
