Great highlight reel. Looks very much like a young Peter Forsberg in those highlights. Very good skating with good mobility in every direction and excellent balance. Great hands (although that move he keeps fooling defensemen with might not work quite as well in the NHL). I love the quickness of his hands and how fast he recovers the puck after losing it in those clips. And most importantly, he displays great vision and hockey sense. He seems to know when he has space and time to attack the net and all the while doing so he seems aware of the openings he's creating for his teammates. I know this is an highlight reel, but for such a young player to have such a collection of great plays in half a season in his first season in the top swedish league is very revealing of the caliber of prospect he is. He would look very good centering Collberg

Looks much more impressive than Barkov. Best European available at the draft.

Can someone tell me what kind of game Lindholm plays?

Which current NHLer does he compare the most too? (style wise)

He has been compared a lot to Backstrom.

Agreed, MacKinnon/Drouin/Barkov/Lindholm/Monahan is a pretty amazing group of forward prospects for one draft. It's not like the dmen are weak either, with plenty of good to great prospects like Jones, Pulock, Morrissey, Zadorov, Nurse, Ristolainen, Hagg, etc. Overall it just looks like a really stacked draft, tonnes of top end talent AND great depth. Maybe not that strong in goal, but who cares when there are so many great skater prospects.

Lindholm has played wing all season, but he's really a natural center and will probably play there in the WJC.

I don't really like that comparison, he's mostly getting them because they are from the same town and the same club.
He's more like Forsberg in terms of style. Much faster skater than Bäckström and grittier aswell.

I hope so, I have really liked what I've seen so far from this guy.

Does he really have the offensive creativity and puck handling skills comparable to Forsberg?

I'm not doubting you I'm just curious because that just seems like pretty high praise

His PPG-ratio is excellent compared to what other players had in SEL at a similar age, Peter Forsberg scored 0,69 ppg as a 18-year old in SEL, Henrik Sedin 0,69 ppg, Elias Lindholm 0,66 ppg at the moment. Bäckström had 0,57 ppg.

Purely style of play, no need to compare h2h. Lindholm is average sized but he's pretty physical for a 6'0" guy with soft hands, elite vision and dynamic skating. Five of his six goals have been gritty, drive-the-net-goals. And many of his assists are from taking the fastest way to the net. But they're on top of a finesse game. I would say that those traits are more similar to how Forsberg played than Backstrom plays.

Sorry if this has been asked before but how tall is he? Some sites list him as 6'0, but he looks alittle bigger.

He's pretty filled out at 192lbs. 6'0½-ish right now. But I've seen him in studios without hockey gear on, he looks like a teen, not exactly broad-shouldered.

Well he's not one inch taller than 6'0 thats for sure. About 190lbs. Plays much larger than his actual size though.

He's turning into my favourite 2013 prospect. Gotta love the Swedes.

His dad also has girlish should width for a 6'1, so he will most likely stay that.
