The owner never said that. It was speculation from the media.

Well again, it was just a rumor that I heard.

Don't like the colors but your art work on it is very nice.

Appreciate the effort, but not a fan. That shade of gold just reminds me of graphics from the 90s for some reason.

I've also been thinking of throwing together a green, gold, white, and black version if anyone would be interested in seeing that, keep it traditional Stars colors.

I'm curious about what that would look like. I prefer out current Star crest, but it's worth a look.

Here's some (hopefully constructive) criticism since I can tell you put a decent amount of effort into it:

Beige is a pretty weak color. That's probably why it's rarely used in a sporting context. When you put it around the outside of the star and use it to say "STARS" it gets lost in comparison to the white inner star border. That's what popping out, not the part you want to pop. It's especially noticeable when you scale it down to a smaller size. It also blends in too much with the circle border and ends up looking kind of muddy.

I see a lot of changes, but what's the point of them exactly? What's the significance? You're retaining the same basic shape and concept, just adding more stuff. The different font is alright on its own, but now it doesn't exactly go with the clean shape of the /\ in the star. The text is still italicized but the border around it is a symmetrical keystone shape which leads to empty space on the left hand side. The new lines in the center of the star on the other hand compliment the overall direction of the star quite well. They do remind me a bit of a corporate logo or a bank though. The strongest addition is the circle which gives a more monolithic structure to the entire thing. Unfortunately adding a circle has become quite the cliche lately in hockey logos (Wild, Blues, Pens, Panthers, etc). The year just ends up looking busy and shoehorned in that space. I don't see any reason to trumpet 1993 either. This isn't the MLS.

Don't take all that the wrong way, you've definitely got talent.

Agreed ^

I could see it as a nice looking shoulder patch, but then it's just too close to our ST/\RS symbol to be that. Good work though.

I haven't taekn the time to read through the whole thread on the main board about our jersey situation, but one guy suggested we use the shade of green the London Knights do. I like it. That is all.

Yeah I saw that in the main board thread. That's basically what I was going for on my last concept. I've been meaning to mock that up with full pants/socks, might get around to that today.

I've been doing some thinking.
North Stars green is for the North Stars.
That goes for the uniform as well.
I think the only time I would like to see NS green is on the North Stars jersey.
I'm thinking the only time I would ever think to see that jersey on the Stars is when they play in Minnesota.
And to do it every time they are there would just get old and weird.
So maybe if there is some anniversary/special occasion, and they could find a way to do it respectfully and fun and not in a rubbing-it-in sort of way, I think it would be pretty cool.
Maybe like the 50th anniversary coming up in 2017 for instance.
So yeah, that's my stance on the NS green.
Only on the NS jersey, and only in Minnesota, and only for special occasions.

You might have just called the Dallas-Minny winter classic if there ever was to be one.

I think the Penguins need another one... Jk. Can you imagine how livid Canadians would be if we got one before their *****? God, please happen.

Not my favorite (by a long shot), but I'd take it over red and blue colors.

Hint darker on the green and a straight pattern on the arms and I wouldn't mind it.

I like it.

I'm curious about your affinity towards the white shoulders on most of your designs though. Just what you like?

This one is a couple of shades darker than my recent ones. If I make it much darker we're going to be back to dark green.

Actually I just went back and looked at all the ones I've done and I haven't used white shoulders since the very beginning of this thread. #1, #2, and #4 had white shoulders and then they haven't showed up again until now, #17. I do kind of like them though. If you look around the league white shoulders are actually extremely rare, which you don't really expect, but it's true. Only the Flyers (which I consider in many ways to be the Stars' sister franchise) wear them.

I like the white shoulders alot. I am curious as to why you'd call Philly Dallas' sister franchise?

I dont suppose you have a spot where all your jersey concepts are together without a bunch of posts in between?

North Stars and Flyers both original expansion teams, would be my only guess.

Yeah, they came into the league together, they both have a distinctive primary color etc.

I made an album with all of them in the same place.
