Stubbs has great speed on the bases and range in center, but he can't get on base to save his life.

Choo was gone anyway, so looking forward to these two coming in. Team is looking better and better every day.

I like it for both. The Reds upgrade for next season's championship push and the Indians get a nice package for one year of Choo.

Edit: Never mind. Stubbs is way worse than I thought.

Shapiro and Antonetti have only been to the playoffs twice in 12 years

No excuses

Both of them should be fired

Not their faults at all. We have never had the right manager.
Until now.

This. I don't get the fascination with Stubbs at all.

If they get any sort of mix of the 4 WAR player in 2010 and the player who put up a 6.8 UZR this year, it'll look nice.

Choo as a CF would be an interesting experiment if this deal goes through.

Same here, but like I said, there's upside potential

Hopefully Choo hits lead off for Reds. Not the best option there but it gets Phillips out a lead off spot.

3 team dealing cooking among #Indians, Reds, Arizona. Shin-Soo Choo headed to Cincy. Asdrubal Cabrera not involved as of right now.

Towers said to love Gregorious.

choo is average defender. and he's going to be cf for them? it's good trade because stubbs has no future with reds but that's quite an experiment.

Yep. If he can revert to his 2010-11 ways and just be an average-ish offensive player, he'll be a valuable pickup.

Maybe they think Bruce can play CF.

He played 35 games in CF in 2008.

Diamondbacks/Reds/Indians 3-way trade (Choo to CIN, Stubbs to CLE, Gregorius to AZ)

https://twitter.com/Ken_Rosenthal

Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal
Three-team trade, per source, will look like this: Choo, Jason Donald to #Reds, Gregorius to #Diamondbacks, Stubbs, AZ pitcher to #Indians.

Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal
Corbin, Skaggs and Bauer were among #Diamondbacks pitchers who were in play. #Indians would get one in this deal; Skaggs unlikely.

If Towers really traded Bauer for Gregorius...

What the hell is Arizona doing? Of the three it better be Corbin.

@BNightengale: The #Dbacks are wary of Cabrera the way he looked down the stretch, telling #Indians they want Gregorius, in return for Bauer or Corbin

The Indians might get Bauer for a guy who would have walked next year?

If it's Corbin it's a good deal.

It will probably be Corbin, because that's just our luck, but if it's Bauer/Skaggs, it's a HR deal for the Tribe.
