Well...I can't really think of any good ones. I know I got Blake Wheeler as a side piece to a bigger deal on my dynasty team and I didn't think much of it, I was considering myself lucky if I got 45 points out of him. Then he was demoted to the fourth line and he wasn't scoring and out of nowhere he just exploded around January I believe.

Wow, didn't realize Luongo had such bad Aprils although the sample size there is smaller.

Kipper's Octobers is a full .015 below his second worst month, too... weird.

I wonder if some of these guys that play well in October are taking advantage of rookies and then the advantage dissipates as their prey are sent to the AHL or junior.

These stats don't tell the story at all. Are you aware Kessel was on of the NHl's most consistent players last season? He had very few games without registering a point.

Kessel destroyed the "Streaky" comments last year.

Always on the breach, I see.

Where did I say that he was streaky.

I simply posted historical stats to support someone's statement that he often had "hot" starts.

And the same took place last year:

Goals/games per month

October 10/11
November 6/14
December 5/13
January 5/12
February 6/14
March 5/15
April 0/3

While his goals went down, he was still getting assists.

Again, he was very consistent last season.

But this thread has been about goal scoring.

And it's not true that his assists were consistent.

Except for February, his monthly assists numbers were significantly lower than for October.

Assists per 82 games

October 60
November 47
December 44
January 14
February 64
March 27

The amount of games he had a point was right at the top. He was consistent. His 12 points in his final 16 games was his worst, but he had a bad wrist.

And I'm talking about this season. You;re bringing up stats from when he was 19. He's in a thread with "Mr.October" Brian Savage. LOL

I'll see your LOL and raise you + .

My last two posts contained stats from last year, not from when he was 19.

You're funny...

Does anyone know if there is an overall change in GF and GA per month?

Part of me hypothesizes, that much like goaltenders who need many starts to get into a groove, teams are weak defensively at the beginning of the season as they learn the team's system and teammates tendencies and therefore, let in more goals in October than in March.

So he wasn't consistent last season is what you're saying?

It doesn't matter if he only got assists or goals on a particular night. The amount of games he registered a point in was huge. He was so far from "Streaky" last season.

I made sure to pick an extra RW knowing that Iginla was going to suck for a month or two

Nice try?

I never said that.

It does look like his usual trend: start "hot" and then cool off.

Not anymore he doesn't. More like a one man blimp

He typically gets pretty burnt out by that time from playing too many games though so its understandable
