God I love the way Schultz just shoots, rather than making things more complicated than they have to be. He let's Hartikainen take care of his job screening and just gets the puck on net. Nice tip by Harty.
Beautiful setup by Hall there. Hall all over the place. When people talk about his *struggles* I wonder how much its considered that he plays at high temp all the time. Just love his play. Don't change a thing.

No kidding.
The guy finds ways to create a ton of scoring chances, seems there are a few people more worried about how they are generated than the end result.
Keep playing like this and he will be 30+ goal scorer in the NHL for a long time IMO.

But Tyler Seguin has hockey sense. And he's shiny.

Exactly. The key is he's just dominating every time he steps on the ice. Quintessential superstar and rounding into powerforward form. Taylor Hall is developing quite nicely. He's 3 steps ahead of everybody else on the ice. lol at the filthy pass to Arcobello. Hall fooled everybody in the building...

Well... maybe change his breakaway repertoire. But other than that I agree 100%. This kid is the leader of this organization. He makes things happen.
That article about our 2010 draft intake (maybe Lowetide?) isn't looking so great now.
Marincin has potential, Pitlick has been fighting it and hasn't had the greatest of year so far, Davidson is excused for obvious reasons and Martindale has been hurt much of the year. The shine is starting to wear off pretty rapidly IMO.

I missed the hit this weekend, but he has definitely started to take the body more, it's nice to see him and Nuge dish out hits and let other teams know that they won't just take them without returning the favor.
Apparently Pelss has been recalled, I know that he's been suspended for quite some time in the ECHL, I guess he can play at the AHL level? If so swap him in for Hamilton IMO.

He cannot play in the AHL either and will only be practicing with the team.

It sounds like he is just her to practice with the club

Yeah, Halls getting stronger and we're seeing him play while not as worried about the shoulder. Its not even fair seeing Hall pressure on the forecheck. Heat seeking missile speed, Just domination.
Eberle feeds Hall a garbage pass, Hall blows by the D to negate the icing, controls puck, produces scoring chances anyway.
What I always like about Hall is his game is there regardless if linemates are on or not.

AHL ruled on it - if he's suspended in the ECHL, he still can't play... I think. EDIT: Missed it by... that much.
But really, I hope somebody gets healthy and takes Cornet/Hamilton's spots - House and Martindale, hopefully?
If not for draft position Curtis Hamilton would be in the ECHL right now.
Other than Hartikainen none of the highly drafted forward prospects look like they will amount to much in the NHL.
Paajarvi was a op 10 pick, Pitlick and Moroz were early 2nd rounders (for all intents and purposes late 1st rounders), and Martindale was an early 3rd rounder. Add Hamilton and Lander who were both 2nd round picks.
IMHO, if they fail to develop 2 or better yet 3 of these guys into legitimate top 9 NHL forwards, the Oilers may soon find themselves in a perpetual re-build or at best a bubble team in the Calgary mode.
This is probably Hall's best game of the year so far IMO. A few bad plays on an earlier PP, but his passing has been better overall tonight IMO.
Agreed. I've been tough on Hall but he is really pushing the play and is handling the puck well. On the other hand, Eberle is having a really quiet game.
Hartikainen continues to play very well. The Barons defense has to play better, they are giving up way too many quality chances.
